Myself and my partner stayed here for a week during the week of the world cup semi-final and final. We both purchased a Russian sim card from the airport when we arrived which came with internet/phone calls, I strongly advise to do the same as it saved us many times and it was only cheap.||||The hotel -||The hotel is very, very basic - no air con in the room, no safe, 1 towel, no utilities (have to purchase these separate.) The breakfast runs from 6:30am - 11:00am which is great timing, however again very basic breakfast. 2 types of cereal, hot dog type sausages, bread, salad and 2 juices. The receptionists are friendly and are willing to help, we couldn't speak Russian and they couldn't speak much English but still made a great effort to help. There's also a watchman on the hotel front 24 hours a day. Our room was cleaned every day during out stay so although the rooms weren't much to look at, it was very clean. Although, beware as the cleaner will walk straight in without knocking, often very early morning also.||||Location - ||The hotel location was perfect for us, we were a 5 minute walk away from the metro and then a few minute metro ride into the red square which was FANTASTIC! There is something for everyone, beautiful scenery, amazing restaurants, fast food, bars, night clubs, super markets. The bars/clubs are open until 6-7am also, Moscow doesn't sleep! I couldn't fault any of the restaurants, all of the food was great. I advise booking in advance for some of the fancier restaurants as they are always fully booked. Visit the Baga Bar in Moscow, I was impressed with this little setting it was great. Big screens and lots of bean bags and tables in a grass area, really nicely thought out and decorated. Service is so slow and staff can be a little rude but despite this it was a...
