For a first-time visitor to Dammam, Saudi Arabia and for the amount that I have paid for, staying at Boudl Al Shatea was, to me, a great decision. Everything that I needed in a hotel for a relatively short 3-night stay was present specially in terms of the room amenities and available facilities at the hotel (e.g. swimming pool). I also appreciated the Reception officer offering to guests Saudi coffee and dates while they do their check-in/check-out procedures. This apparently simple but kind gesture gave me a very nice impression about Saudi culture and hospitality. The room I was assigned was spacious, clean and smelling nice, and fully furnished. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job in ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of my room and this was true for the rest of the hotel's premises. In terms of location, the hotel is a short taxi/Uber/Careem ride away from the Dammam Main Bus Station (if you are coming from King Fahd International Airport via the Eastern Region Bus). There is also a not-so-vibrant mall next to the hotel (called Al Shatea Mall), which thankfully had a Carrefour Hypermarket giving me easy access to whatever I had in mind to eat (like breads/pastries, fruits and Saudi treats/snacks). Restaurants and fast food chains are also aplenty and are short walking distance away from the hotel. However, if you would need to explore the more known tourist areas/attractions in Dammam, walking is not an option as these are a bit far off and would require booking a taxi/Uber/Careem. But given another opportunity to visit Dammam in the future, I would definitely choose to stay at Boudl Al...
Read moreAll previous reviews are not true. Just an act of solidarity. Don't believe it. Terrible hotel, terrible service!!!!!!!Money is stolen here. Please check the room before you register and pay full price, otherwise you will be in the same situation as me. You will pay full price for your stay and lose money. The people working at the reception are rude and ill-mannered, just like the manager and manager of the hotel. And the best thing is, when you ask questions, they will be sitting in the hotel manager's room, looking at you through the security cameras and laughing. You can hear all this. And after a month of waiting for your money, a manager from the service department will call you, Amjad, who will apologize 100 times and confirm that you have lost your money! Then you will return to the hotel, take a document with a transaction number, supposedly the money has been transferred, but this will not be true either! Because the bank will not be able to confirm this operation. This is how Saudi Arabia will greet you in the form of this...
