Our experience at this property was unfortunately one of the worst we’ve had on Airbnb. To begin, the hotel has no signage and is located down a poorly maintained road, making it difficult to find. The surrounding area felt unsafe, with stray dogs and people loitering or relieving themselves nearby, which immediately set the wrong tone.

When we arrived, we discovered that the hotel had not actually reserved a room for us, despite our confirmed booking. As a result, we were moved to a different room every night—a total of four rooms over three nights—to fill gaps between other guests’ stays. There was very poor communication among staff, so each evening we had to spend around half an hour in the lobby while the receptionist called the manager to figure out our situation. One night during this wait, I was bitten multiple times by mosquitoes.

The quality of the rooms is far below the advertised “luxury” description and the price point. The view is not oceanfront but rather an abandoned boatyard and parking lot. The furniture was cheap and often broken, towels and bedding were stained, and in different rooms we experienced no hot water, no Wi-Fi, or power outages. The hotel also requires guests to prepay for electricity (5,000 CFA per night), and when it ran out while we were gone, our food spoiled due to lack of power.

There were serious cleanliness and health issues as well. One room smelled strongly of insecticide, causing sore throats and coughing, and by the last night we found cockroaches in the room and on our food—a major concern since I’m allergic to them.

Overall, we dreaded returning to the hotel each evening, never knowing which room we’d end up in. The front desk staff admitted these problems are ongoing and that management refuses to address them. Airbnb support was also unhelpful when we reported the situation, asking us to take videos of rooms that were already occupied.

We ultimately cut our trip short and left early, which says a lot about how stressful this experience was. I sincerely hope the host and Airbnb review this listing for accuracy and...

Loved the stay. View as well as the apartment is amazing. People at the reception are warm and welcoming. The driver is a real gem and is very helpful. Have used the car for 3 days straight.

Incoming roads and areas are bad with a lot of cars and small houses. However, this can be ignored as the place itself is amazing.

Points they could improve upon (the reasons why it is rated 4/5 and not 5/5:

remove the extra electricity charge. Increase the daily surcharge if required but remove this. It is weird and not good. The lights went off in the middle of the night with nobody to help.

towels were not replaced nor the bathrooms cleaned on a daily basis.

checkout experience was a bit weird wherein the lady came to check each and every knob, hook and cranny. If you want to do this then make it a habit of doing inspection with the guest during entry as well.

All-in-all, I will definitely recommend this place. Will stay here again when the opportunity pops again for...

Lovely place, the atmosphere was amazing and you could feel at peace there. The people there are very friendly and welcoming, not to mention its perfect location inside the city, near the most beautiful places in town, would recommend going there.
