Worst start ever! The room was smelly and when asked to reception to send anyone to check it, a maid arrived and, instead to apologise for the inconvenience, started to defend herself ignoring any customer and hospitality approach. The room itself miss a proper cleaning, having spotted curtains, marked carpet, scratched walls. In addition, the rain shower was broken, as well, the shower head. Despite the pandemic situation, no proper hand soap in room but only hair and body soap. The reception cannot inform about the existence of the room service menu in English or the cost of drinks if not with the assistance of a supervisor, never seen. At the bar, the mulled wine ordered never arrived. Once was replied by the waitress that they were “looking” for it but after more than 30min. of waiting seemed that it was not available. These “inconveniences” were experience only after few hours of stay and my entire family waited with fingers crossed the remaining 2 days to see what might more happen. Hopefully the management will start with a proper training and coaching for the staff and, most important, with a needed and active supervision of the entire hotel services and maintenance.
As expected the issues, sadly, were not over. The buffet dinner served, despite the good selection and acceptable taste, has the entire hot line with lukewarm if not completely cold food. Of course no hot plates available but only stone cold ones to make your food...
Read moreThis is not our first family (kids 7 and 3, and my wife and I) trip to Mona. We've been here a year before, and both times it was excellent.
Up front I'll mention one little thing that can be considered a problem: Parking. It is always an issue (resolvable) as they are always packed! And that's about it.
Staff goes an extra mile to help you and accommodate your every need.
Rooms are very clean, spacious and just perfect size. (we carry our own bed for the little one, and it fits perfect next to king size bed). TV with lots of kids channels. Bathroom nice clean with shower. No bathtub. Just perfect when you need to get the kids clean before bedtime. Food - OK, I love eating, but this is just amazing. Quantity and quality wise. We paid little extra for full board, and enjoyed all three meals. Kids play room was being remodeled when we were here this time, so they turned half of the convention center into the playground witch was very smart. And they gave us a small discount due to it! Pool - I've been to a more fancier places with smaller pools. This area includes sauna, and you can get a massage. (at a price though - but my wife is worth it! :D). Hotel is located downtown Zlatibor, so it is great to get where ever you...
Read moreAfter our 3 stay at hotel Mona, there’s no doubt it will be our last.||1. When we arrived strong silicone smell was our welcome.||2. Room was falling apart, refrigerator not working, nor other wall sockets.||3. In the first couple of days the food was not so good, the same food from the breakfast was at the dinner also. When the hotel was filled with guests during the weekend they tried a bit harder with the food, but not as same as the last time we were at Mona in 2023.||4. Spa and wellness center is falling apart. The tiles in the pools are falling apart, the kids we’re playing with them…The water in the hot pool was not so clean, it has never been that way. The sprinklers in the big pool are not working properly, one of the big ones is even coroded and doesen’t even work. And the most disappointing thing is that the steam bath wasn’t working, during our 5 day stay no one came to fix it…||||The thing that annoyed me the most at the end was that we persuaded our friends to join us in Mona along with their kids, regarding our previous...
