We booked a room for my mother to obtain a white card for €50. At the reception, we were told that she had to stay overnight in the room, otherwise the white card would not be issued, so we brought my mother to the hotel at night and picked her up in the morning. Breakfast was included in the room price, and while my mother was at breakfast (for about 20 minutes), €200 went missing from her belongings. During the time she was eating, a maid came into the room and deliberately searched for something to take. My mother realized this because her belongings were moved to different places after she returned from breakfast. This suggests that a hotel employee was specifically waiting and watching for the guest to go to breakfast, then entered the room and rummaged through my mother’s things. She had $1,100 and €800 with her, and the employee took €200, probably to avoid drawing too much attention. My mother only told me about this after I had already picked her up. She doesn’t speak English or Serbian, so she couldn’t communicate or clarify the situation, and she was too shy to tell us earlier, only admitting it later. You should thank my mother for her kindness, because she was the only thing stopping me from causing a scene. I would have torn everything apart, called the police on principle, filed a theft report, written complaints to every authority, and ruined the day for all the staff involved. This is such a disgrace. I was praising Serbia so much, talking about how kind and pleasant the people here are. My mother came to visit and support me during a difficult time, and you leave such a disgusting impression of your nation’s culture. And this is not some budget hostel, but a hotel—not an economy-class one—that should take responsibility for its employees. My mother didn’t want to argue, believing that we are guests here, but guests shouldn’t be robbed while being smiled at to their faces. I hope the maid truly needed that money. I’m writing this review not to get the money back or to prove anything, but so people know about the treatment of guests and the complete lack of security in the rooms. Fine, we have money, we’re not scraping by, but what about people who came for medical treatment and saved up for it? Or those who saved for a long time for a vacation to visit significant places in the country? What are they supposed to do? And it’s not about the money at all—it’s about the attitude and the fact that this seems to be a regular scheme among the hotel staff, which makes the situation even more horrifying. I’m attaching the receipt for the hotel room in case the hotel administration decides to claim that this negative review is from competitors and refuses to investigate. We have proof of payment for the room, which confirms that we are...

Read moreRooms are large enough, modern and good for families but breakfast is very poor.hotel a bit far away from city center but public transportation is very easy and convenient.
Restaurant responsible lady has really bad attitude and not tolerable for kids. She thinks herself like she is managing director of the hotel. My kids couldn't eat most of the breakfast so I have bought a chocolate cream for them from the market. She didn't allow my kids to eat it. She says it is rule. She can say anything she didn't like it as a rule. I never face such a bad attitude in any hotel. She was not constructive and not customer focused. Receptionist cannot do any when I complained about that. No single authority to solve your problems. I think they don't want to have guests who wants breakfast in the hotel.
Good place to stay and enjoy but do not buy breakfast, no need to face such...
