Coffee Dream — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

I regularly order a large cappuccino in a to-go cup, even when sitting in a café. I find it more convenient to drink from a to-go cup, as the large cups they serve the coffee in are impractical.

On this particular visit to Coffee Dream, I was surprised when the waiter refused to serve me because I requested a to-go cup. Even when I placed my order myself, the waiter insisted that I leave, citing their policy that I couldn’t sit in the café. It's worth noting that the café was only half-full at the time.

I ignored the request and asked to speak with the manager. Once again, the waiter tried to throw me out but eventually gave up. Since the manager didn’t show up, I stayed, finished my work, and drank coffee.

Amazing tasting coffee and sweets and fairly well-sized portions. Interesting offer of coffee-based drinks which can be changed and/or modified in many fashions. The issue is the lack of staff, especially in the evening hours when there are more customers - the waiting period is longer, especially if you are waiting for the check or trying to get someone to come by to make an additional order. Clearly an organizational issue. The staff, though visibly overworked, is very polite, helpfull and professional on top of it all. But it is just very hard to catch them. Best cafe in Belgrade?! I love their ‘ice cream coffee’ with cinnamon. The staff was incredible nice today. I haven't received such a beautiful smile while ordering coffee in the last 5 years! They made my day after a bad week. :))) Perfect atmosphere inside, not crowded in the afternoon...
