Hotel Aquastar Danube — Hotel in Kladovo Municipality

An impressive business with a large hotel and multiple swimming pools and restaurants. Lovely view from restaurant terrace across the water.

The suite we were upgraded to, 3A, was large and the bed was great. What wasn’t great was the rum and other small alcohol bottles in the mini bar couldn’t be opened as the threads were the wrong size for the bottle.

Also the bathroom had a spaceship-like bath/shower TARDIS thing that was about 20 years old. It used to have speakers to play music and all sorts of buttons that made the shower do cool things with 20 nozzles but now ah that’s broken and it just works with one shower head. It’s all crusty as they haven’t descaled it since it was installed in 2000.

So, we survived, but we were sad.

I stayed at the hotel with my family for five nights. We took the cruise from Belgrade to Tekija and then were transported by bus to the hotel. The cruise was great, lots of beautiful scenery and interesting facts presented by the tour guide. The guide made an extra effort with the non-serbian speakers to explain things just for us and to answer all of our questions. I was very impressed with the facilities, the service and the food at the hotel. The Fish Restaurant is definitely a must because of the variety and the freshness of the food. The hotel has everything a 4 star hotel needs. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel and the cruise to anybody...

For the past two weeks I have been visiting the restaurant (balcony part) of this hotel almost every day with my dog. I was told by the waiter that the dog is allowed and had no problems till yesterday. As I was about the sit, the man sitting at the table next to me, obviously completely shocked by the fact that i brought a dog to a restaurant, introduced himself as an owner of the restaurant and told me that I should immediately leave. This cave person didn't even bother to get up and politely explain, he was sitting and eating and looking at me like i was a complete lunatic. Horrible experience....
