Hotel Putnik Kopaonik — Hotel in Raska Municipality

In manu aspects this Hotel is somewhere between very good and excellent, but Reception Staff does their “best” to ruin projected 4-5 * standard. The irony is that Bell boy has more managerial skills then all of them behind the Reception desk. The info they give you are not only wrong but incomplete. Across the road there is a ski path to Suncana dolina ski lift, they told me it was closed. On how to get to Ski center they proposed a taxi ride...In the same Hotel there is a ski rental storage ( obviously rented by third party) where I learned that Suncana dolina is opened and there is a Hotel mini bus with time table taking you for free to the Center!!! On a leaving day another set back with Receptionists. Check out time 10am in the ski resort??? ( ok this is Hotel policy) but there was 0 flexibility from the Reception desk. They left our language in the storage room, where we had to change over on the way back from skiing!!! What a disgrace for 4* Hotel customers! On my proposal to settle the bill after our return from skiing ( the idea was not to loose skiing time ) they said as soon as you leave the room you have to settle the bill !!! On mine remark that our language and my ID are going to stay with them until we return from skiing they insisted on Hotel policy. All other Hotel staff were up to the task and 4* standard, Hotel is clean, rooms are spacious, design is modern, pool and spa center are excellent, ( but the tiles are dangerously slippery ). Food could be better, especially the way it was prepared, no espresso machine offered in dining Restaurant of even possibility to order it... My general impression was that Hotel policy is money oriented rather then customer satisfaction first...by the way this Hotel is not...

We stayed in Putnik for 4 nights paying 270 eur/night. Advertised as recently refurbished hotel, it was very visible that the refurbishment was not properly completed as we found cables and painting lines in our room. As well photos on their website vs real room condition is very different (on a negative note), as there is no art or any kind of details or decoration as shown. Upon our arrival room was very cold and pretty much stayed the same during the entire stay. We had to sleep with the lights on during the entire stay (complained every day about it and on the departure the answer from the GM was "We will have to break the entire construction in order to fix it" ) which he knew but was not professional or responsible enough to inform us, apologize to us or offer us some other room afer we adressed the issue for the first time. They are advertising 3 different restaurants, which is totally untrue, as only one restaurant is in function (breakfast and dinner venue). Advertising 2 kids areas, only 1 is in function, plus there is an additional fee, and it's not even open during the entire day! Even though we had HB service we we had to pay for every beverage, not even a tap water, tea or juice for the kids was included. Food was very poor, no healthy options, no options for the kids, which is unexceptable for a family hotel which is charging 70% of the adult rate for the kids (3 years age). Water in the pool first 2 fays was cold. We are very disappointed with the management as we were trying to get in touch with GM, but had to chase him in order to express our disappointment. Our experience was not fantastic - hotel seems to be definitely overpriced: We paid 300€ per night in Feb for family room and half board and for that you get following:

Positive:

Well equipped suite with a separate room for the kid

Several saunas in the spa

Quite a big pool

very nice and helpful stuff

What doesn’t match the price (according to my taste):

Only instant coffee for breakfast! No possibility to order cappuccino even for money

Quite poor food quality for breakfast and dinner - you can not order fresh cooked eggs, dishes are very plain same for bread and cheese. For dinner there is only water, you can order beer and wine but not even a tee! It is served only in the bar - very strange rule

Elevator doesn’t serve lobby floor - you have to carry luggage yourself by stairs

Situated far from the main ski lifts and restaurants - 20 min walk without pedestrian road or by overcrowded bus several times per day. If you miss the bus - taxi is the only way esp with kids

You can not control temperature in the room - it was very warm during the night in February, and you can not open a window a bit - only completely open or closed

You can not change the pillow to a softer one, there are only 2 sizes...
