The hotel is very close to the Bratislava airport, 5-6 minutes walking distance.
The staff in the reception was kind and helpful. We could communicate easily and they helped us get our invoice for our company requirements.
The hotel has two floors. We stayed at the second floor and the staff made kind warnings that this hotel was a no-smoking one and smoking is strictly prohibited 🚭.
We went up to our room by using the stairs and no elevator is available in this hotel. Maybe, the ones who need an elevator to go upstairs should inform the hotel reception beforehand and ask for a room on the ground floor.
The rooms are clean and neat. The sheets smelt so clean and I liked it.
There was a TV in the room and there was a film channel I remember. The shower was ok but maybe the management might consider to use a glass panel to separate the shower from the toilet. The current curtain does not help much to prevent water to wet the floor before the basin.
Other than that, maybe the rooms can be heated more. The heater worked but we...
Read moreOur outbound flight landed not long before midnight. At that time the car hire desk is closed and I didn’t much fancy trying to find my hotel in Jasna at 4am in winter conditions anyway. So, I found a family room at Hotel Aviator Garni which was a 10minute flat walk from the airport. It was very easy to find and we received a warm welcome. The family room was only £50 and after a days travelling, a cold beer for 2 euro’s ((£1.65) hit the spot.||Our room was comfortable, clean and functional and the shower was good. It was functional but not luxurious. Essentially excellent value. The bedroom was by far the hottest I’ve ever stayed in but we slept with the window open (it was -4c outside) and all was well. You could order a breakfast the night before for 7 euro’s (£5.80). We decided not to bother as we were excited to get on the road and thought it better to eat en-route to break the journey so I cannot comment on the quality, but 7 euro’s seems like a great...
Read moreBooked this hotel via booking.com and wish we’d seen beyond its proximity to the airport to select it, sadly we didn’t. ||Positives, we’ll it was close to the airport and the receptionist was excellent but that’s the end of it. ||The room was compact, the toilet/shower barely big enough. The temperatures were in the 30s so other than a very small fan that sounded like it was on its last breath there was no cooling, it was verging on a sauna! ||The crunch came when we got up next morning to get to our flight home. Waking up to ants in the bed were a most unpleasant sight and just killed this place for us...||Our last night was a bit spoiled by this hotel it was just unpleasant. The heat then the ants meant there was just nothing to rectify the hotel. ||It was low price but not that low and at €55 per night it was poor value for money even at that cost. I couldn’t recommend it to anyone. I don’t give bad reviews unless it’s...
