I stayed just for 1 night just because Bratislava is very near to Vienna airport as I wanted to catch my early flight. It was a great choice. Hotel is very well equiped, also very very clean, almost new (started one year ago). Rooms are small but there is everything you need and in a higher standard - the boxspings beds, the furniture, cosmetics and hyginenics supplies, guarded parking spots, a great restaurant, a breakfast service and so on. What is the main different between this 3 stars hotel and 4 stars? To be honest, most of the 4 stars hotels are in an incomparably worse condition. There is only couple of details missing. The main is AC and a fridge, than a tea and coffee set, and what I was really surprised about - there is no fire detector on the ceiling (I dont think it is in accordance with EU regulation) and probably not the best location to discover Bratislava (sorry guys, but there is not much to discover in Bratislava). But that is it. The main plus of this hotel is the staff attitude. Of course if you are in 5 stars hotel, you expect to be treated great, but in this hotel They do the same, but just because They want to. It was really nice. I've talked to them, told them about it and I was told, that the hotel is running by some sort of non-profit organization helping people with mental illness. And that reminds me - the walls in the hotel are nicely decorated with a very different type of art - those pictures are made by the people I wrote about. I really definitely reccomend this hotel. It is not all about the money over there, it is more about humanity but provided at the...
Read moreThe hotel is located on the outskirts of the city. It has its own parking, but it should not be too difficult to find a parking space close by.
There is a bus stop near by, but you can walk around 700m to catch a direct tram to the city centre.
The room we were given was clean, average in size. There was no air conditioning. While it wasn't a problem in September, the situation might be different in warmer months. The shower was comfortable, but what was surprising was the fact that it has a shower curtain, not a door. Frankly, one would expect better from a 3 star hotel.
The biggest disappointment was breakfast. Not a lot of choice, I had the impression that the ingredients were not of the highest quality. There weren't any juices to drink. The coffee was the worst I have ever tried in a hotel. I had the impression it was more of a coffee ersatz than the real thing. Definitely, there is a room for improvement.
If you are looking for a short time stay a d breakfast isn't important to you, you can choose this hotel, otherwise look for...
Read moreHotel was clean but other than that the service was really bad bad … I was given a room that does not look like picture and has no aircon! The cheapest worst room possible.
Also I was a student with a valid visa but receptionist kept insisting I need a id because it’s Europe policy? Which is nonsense and I had to argue with him for 30mins. I have checked in other hotel and they accepted it without a fuss. He even said he’s being “nice “ to finally accept my visa - apparently he thinks I’m lying with a visa on my passport ! No logic
Very slow check in process. And manager was rude to me when I...
