BeAbout — Restaurant in Bratislava

Very much a mixed feelings about this establishment. We went there on a whim on Saturday to check the new one in Rača. The staff was very friendly, even changed immediately to English when they realized my friend does not speak Slovak. Everything seemed great until we got our food. The burgers were not as we requested them (without cheese - dietary restrictions) and when we pointed to the waitress that this might not be our order, as we requested without cheese, she simply said "Yes, it is for your table" and left.

Then there is a question of the meat. Nobody asked us how we would like our meat, which I figured was not a problem, until I saw the dry patty in my burger. Absolutely not satisfactory. And it's a shame really, because it seemed to be nicely seasoned. But overall the egg burger was dry and unappetizing. It's very weak side as well is a bun, which is also a bit dry and not tasty. I would say it has a bit artificial feeling to it, which I really hate.

Then there was kids menu, and it was great, the nuggets were tasty and not dry at all! Also the French fries were good, one of the best I ate in the restaurant of this type. So what the hell happened? Two different cooks?

In the end I am very disappointed on this first impression and I won't come again. There are better burgers in...

Edit: I have to change the rating to 5 stars after my latest visit - I decided to visit again after some time and I’m glad I did.

The burger was really good (Tex Mex recommended if you like mildly spicy taste), not dry (proper medium) and well balanced taste.

Onion rings and fries with sauce included in price and also taste pretty good, I’m glad they listened to the feedback, which is not always a case with many other establishments :)

Beer and coctail were tasty as well, overall very nice experience.

Previous review: Nice restaurant with good quality burgers, but I have a feeling the quality degraded over the time. I was here for the first time more than 3 years ago and absolutely loved it (the coleslaw, onion rings & fries were all included in the price at that time and burger was excellent). Now there is less included in the meal and the burger is still tasty, but not as good as before. It’s just a bit shame the quality and number of sides went down a bit.

Also, I have a tip for the people who like spicy sauce - they will bring you some when you ask for it, but I recommend to put just a tiny bit as they are really spicy. Especially the “Sudden death” sauce, which was used by one of my friends on the burger before tasting it first (he didn’t manage...

EDIT: So me and my gf arrived to the restaurant about 1,5 hours before it closes so we thought we’ll totally make it. The staff was pretty nice, they gave us a seat. We were in beabout before and from our experience they always say hi, smile, and seat us (wich is quite nice). So we sat there waiting to order for about 15-20 min. Wich is a long time concidered the restaurant wasn’t full at all. We ordered, and waited for like 10 min. Till the drinks arrived and next 20 till the food arrived. (I understand that a burger takes time to be done and 30 min. Wasn’t that long) But I mean, the time to order the food is just unreasonably long. If you put it this way, we sat in a restaurant for 50 minutes To get a food. I know it seems like it is not a big deal, but it happened numerous times before. But to be more positive. The food was great (except for the fries. They seemed like they were done 2hours before it was served.) I personally didn’t mind that. The burger was awesome and I totally recommend BBQ burger. I rate the restaurant 4/5 even through my not very reasonable complains😀. If you read through this, you should go there. I’ll end this review here....
