Very easy ride to the city centre: 2 tram lines heading there every 10 mins or so. Be careful after 21.00, as there is only one going to the hotel then. Very close to the airport (I WALKED there: just 20 mins!!). Opposite to a large shopping mall open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (hello, new Europe?). Very friendly staff. Their English is far from perfect but their big smiles make all the difference! Breakfast: different "menus" and items you may choose from. You pay around 40 SKK (about 1 €) for quite a reasonable breakfast that keeps your stomach busy for quite a few hours. Just one drawback: their tea is real bad, so maybe it would be a good idea to bring along your tea bags?! Clean, spacious rooms. They are renovating still so maybe when you get there all the shower facilities will be up to "Western" standards. It seems to be popular with bus excursions from other Eastern European countries. One drawback: the walls are as thin as paper so, if you happen to get neighbours, you may hear everything. There were very few people at the hotel durign our stay (4 nights) but one night a bus full of Lithuanians arrived and we could hear the...
Read moreThis is a fairly new hotel approximately 9km from the city centre. The rooms have the usual TV, telephone, safe deposit boxes, en suite shower & toilet. There is a garden with a small pond and seats. The reception is open 24/7 and can provide tram/bus tickets, cold drinks & snacks. There is also a hot drinks machine, lounge and TV area. Breakfast is served by waiter/waitress instead of the usual buffet. CCTV coverage and security guard make you feel very safe. The staff speak some English and are very helpful. There is a 24/7 Tesco Hypermarket close by where you can buy food/drinks or use the restaurant/cafes. Getting to the city centre is an easy 20 minute ride on a #4 tram. Or a #2 tram to the main railway station for day trips to Vienna at 317SK for a round trip. From the railway station a #61 bus takes you to the airport. The #2/4 trams also stop at the new Polus Centre which has a food court, multi-screen cinema and designer label shops. For 1226SK a day, for a single room with breakfast, this hotel is inexpensive and ideally situated. Their website is...
Read moreHello. I want to leave a review about the hotel that couldn’t have even 1*. The hotel is just awful: when we arrived as a group, the administrator took all of our passports until the next morning. Some of doors couldn’t be closed or opened, in other words they were stuck. One of ours friend found an adult toy under his bed. Do you really think it’s normal? Bed sheets were dirty and there were a lot of spots on it. It was disgusting. The sink was broken and shower was too. This hotel does NOT correspond to photos on the hotel’s site. There were a lot of cracks on walls. There was a lot of noise because the walls were very thin. The door to the toilet in each room couldn’t be locked. In some of the rooms there was really stuffy and it was difficult to breathe. If you want to stay alive - never go to this hotel i...
