Centrally located at one end of the pedestrian zone, just across the street from the museum (Zemplinske muzeum, worth visiting). The old style hotel was now changed to a modern hotel with nice rooms (at least those we got; works were still going on in some parts of the hotel). Rooms were very stylish with nice decorations such as wall papers and interior. Interesting bathroom - not a separate room, but shower in the room/bedroom and the sink next to it; a separate room for toilet. A creative solution and very practical. Breakfast was good, but we were the only one in the restaurant and very little food was set out so we didn`t really know how it worked until the waiter asked us if we wanted to order warm food from the menu. The food he prepared was delicious and big portions. Waiters serving breakfast could have been more active...
Read moreFirst of all, you have to find you way into the hotel. It has what appears to be a drive-up entrance, but access is blocked by a barrier. You must park in the back lot and carry your luggage in through the bar and the sports betting parlor. There are no porters. Lobby in ultra modern. Wifi is very good. Breakfast is quite adequate. Some of the staff are friendly. Cigarette smoke from bar and betting parlor often drifts into lobby and halls. There was a bit of trash in our waste basket when we arrived, so cleanliness could improve. The second day of our stay, they forgot to clean our room and make the beds. Room was quite large, but toilet cabinet quite narrow and small. Shower opens directly into the bedroom! One small sink and mirror in room. Hotel could be quite nice if they improved the design of the rooms and the...
Read morethe worst hotel I have ever been to. It had holes around the frame of the window. It was super cold, but they did not turn on heating (when we asked they explained - the whole hotel has a central heating and it is not on yet-they offered extra blankets instead). I was tricked into believing I am paying online for double bed - in the hotel it turned out I paid for single bed only, so I had to pay more than I expected. The phone did not work. The clock combined with radio did not work. TV was not plugged in, when we came, so we thought first that it did not work either. Both bed were squeaking so much it prevented me from sleeping. The one star I gave is for the acceptable breakfast that was included and a tasty lunch (chicken with grilled vegetables and vegetable soup) we paid...
