Pension Muran — Hotel in Terchová

Amazing place to stay for a few days.

We arrived in the evening, just in time to catch a hearty dinner.

We were checked in and served by the owner’s son, who would have liked to be anywhere else, but here. The rest of the family was lovely and I honestly can’t say anything bad about this place.

After dinner we migrated to the terrace for a very cool august evening. When we started our trip, the weather was sweltering hot, but in this valley the air was cool and a light rain crowned the evening as the sun went down.

The surrounding nature is unlike anything I thought I’d see in Eastern Europe. Beautiful green hills and tight canyons to hike...

We wanted to go for a hiking trip into Terchova and we like smaller family-based stays, so we choose Penzion Muran to stay in.|From the very beginning until the end everything was great! Breakfast were great, dinner we chose to eat on last night took a little longer(approx 40 minutes) but when you hear somebody in scratching potatoes for you just for your meal is awesome listening, besides this very friendly staff in whole place.|Only recommendation is to enlarge the parking lot if possible. But otherwise I would rate them 9.9 of 10, 0.1 is deducted because...

An absolutely amazing place to stay.

From the first phone call (we were looking to check in late) the staff was super friendly and proacrively problem-solving, making us feel welcome before we even arrived. The rooms are simple yet beautifully designed and for us even the beds were ideally soft. The staff was very friendly till the very last moment, the location itself is amazing too, and the nature is astonishing. We were here in the beginning of december, and the snow just melted our hearts... definitely...
