I stayed in this hotel with my family (3 adults, 4 kids) and it was as good as we expected from the info and pics on their website. It is in an amazing location for hiking the mountains around - right next to the main parking lot in Stefanova village. We had 2 rooms on the second floor facing the restaurant and the parking lot. The rooms are clean, furniture and bathrooms renovated not too long ago. The rooms included a spacious balcony with outdoor furniture, one balcony even had power outlets. The rooms are spacious but lacking a closet to put your clothes. There is a cupboard and number of hooks on the walls to hang your stuff. ||The room for 3 had extra large bathroom but there was an odor coming from the vent. The room for 2 was actually turned into a 4-bed room for us (turning a couch into a double bed - way less comfortable than the rest of the beds.) ||The breakfast included in the price was basic. A basket with bread, small basket with butter, jam and cream cheese, and a served plate with different item every day (no choice)... scrambled eggs, ham & salami, hot dogs. A pot of hot water for 3 people and box of tea bags (quite a variety) on the table.||Spending the days in the mountains we only used the restaurant for dinner. There was a lot to choose from, including pizza and we noticed that quite a few people from other hotels in the village were coming to this restaurant. They clearly have 2 chefs taking turns, one of them is amazing, the second one uses way too much salt. The kitchen closes at 8:30 so if you are coming late from a hike you are out of luck.||The hotel has a small TV lounge - 4 couches and a big screen TV with coffee tables, board games, books. The wifi router is located in the office on the first floor close the back door. If your room is on second floor you most likely won't get any signal. I used the TV lounge - the wifi signal there is pretty good. I would definitely stay again...
Read moreThis family owned pension is located directly in a village of Stefanova in th emiddle of Vratna dolina, one of the most beautiful valleys in Slovakia. Room was clean, with necessary amenities, also with a very small TV with many channels. What was not included was wi-fi - we could not catch despite the fact it was indicated on their website. With very reasonable price - 15 EUR / person / night, the breakfast was included. Dinner/Lunch was possible in restaurant within the pension. They provided meals for reasonable prices as well - I woudl suggest fish which is directly from...
Read moreWe had all the dishes which you can see in the pictures. Bryndzove halusky were alright but the bryndza was watery so it wasn’t nothing special. Sote pikant was spicy just right for everybody and pikant pasta as well if you like spicy things i would definitely recommend one of them. I wouldn’t go for slovakian dishes here like halusky or zbojnicka kapsa i would rather went for one of the spicy dishes. My go to meal would be sote pikant with draft beer vŕšek. Would give 8,5/10 overall and...
