Penzion Lukanc Boštjan Lukanc s.p. — Hotel in Bled

Welcome was a bit unfriendly. I had to wait a minute after ringing the bell. A stressed looking lady arrived without a smile and asked if I had a reservation.||I was happy with my room, but about 20 minutes after I arrived the lady knocked on my door saying I had been given the wrong room, and that the couple who had reserved my room were waiting downstairs. I was nice and agreed to change rooms. My new room was a closet with a bed. I work in hospitality and understand that mistakes happen. However, where I work we always offer something to please our guests after we mess up. Nothing was offered, barely even an apology.||I had written them in advance to let them know I was vegan. I received a reply reading this would not be a problem. When I arrived for breakfast there were no vegan options. What we liked:|The lady that checked us in (I think her name is Tina) was excellent at everything she did. Not only was she working reception, she also worked in the bar in the evenings and also in the breakfast room !|It's a beautiful and both our rooms had balconies.|The air conditioning was effective.|The view of the mountains and surrounding areas from the balcony and hotel as a whole is amazing.|Free carpark and we always got a space.|Excellent standard of daily housekeeping.||Other things to note:|It would have been very beneficial to have a restaurant on site, as there are no local shops or restaurants in the immediate local area. You have to drive or walk down to Lake Bled.|There is no lift in this hotel, and we did struggle with our bags on checkin...

The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is good, but the hotel itself is not the best.

If you want to have a good rest at least one night, don’t come here, because the walls are prob. made by paper or something. You can clerly hear EVERYTHING in your room, you can hear every step, every door slam, every peeing. And not just from the close rooms, from the whole building.

For the top of the cake in our last day, they started to repair something or I don’t know but they start to drill very loudly at 8AM. The room only has one electric socket under the tv (which is really small and bad btw). And of course it shouldn’t be that much a problem, but it made some uncomfortable momets.

Overall: if the location wouldn’t be this good, this hotel would fail...
