Hotel Grande — Hotel in Celje

The location of this hotel is very strange and we struggled to find it at first, but once you walk through the front door you realise its something special.||||Full of old world and forgotten charm the first impression was of a beautiful vintage hotel, and when we opened the door to the room both myself and my girlfriend were thoroughly impressed. It was like stepping back in time but will all the modern comforts close at hand. The decor of this hotel is really something special.||||The service throughout our stay was great, the staff were always friendly and always helpful. The breakfast was well stocked and the food was all very fresh.||||The location was perfect for as as we were attending a nearby basketball game and the huge shopping centre over the road was a bit of a bonus. But the setting of the hotel being hidden beside a car dealership was very strange.||||As someone else mentioned in their review the taxi fares are very cheap so its very easy to get to anywhere you want to go without a car, though having a car is a bonus with lots of things a short drive away such as the old town, the castle and some great restaurants.||||We really loved our stay in this hotel, we have travelled a lot in the last year and this was one of...

The room we booked need to be renovated. The carper, the ceiling is damaged, also the inner windows blind need to be repair or better change. There is no air condition. It is some kind of small air circulation outlet bit it didnt work over night. You need to open the window for air, but then you will be wake up at 5 - 6 o clock in the morning because of the road near by. The tv has 16 programms, slovenian pop tv, slo1... and some other locAls. The hotel is part of the bigger building, on other side was shops (chinese....). The entry into hotel is from the side which is very near by auto salon - shop. The location is in industrial zone, but if you planning to have the movie night, there is cineplexx 3 minutes away by food. In the room the plastic flower is fascinating. The shower cabin was small. We stayed at this hotel for one night during a European rail tour which we had booked ourselves. We booked this hotel as it was close to the "City Centre".||We discovered this is not within walking distance of the station and was difficult to find. It is actually located at an out-of-town large shopping and industrial area, known as "City Centre". I think the meaning is lost in translation!||We paid for 4 taxis during our stay - to/from station and to/from old town in the evening.
