Šurc, Hotelsko-Turistično podjetje, Rateče Planica 86, d.o.o. — Hotel in Kranjska Gora

My husband and I stayed at this hotel while traveling from Germany to Croatia. The hotel itself is not bad — we didn’t book in advance, just showed up and got a room. They gave us a room on the top floor, which I believe was the second floor. The bathroom was very small and uncomfortable, especially since my husband is tall. There was no air conditioning.

The biggest downside was the noise. We could hear our neighbors through the wall — every little movement, even when they picked up and set down a glass. Since we had walked a lot and were tired, we came to the hotel specifically to rest and continue our trip the next morning. We went to bed at 9 PM, but didn’t fall asleep until around midnight.

Why has no one mentioned this in the reviews? I always read reviews to know what...

Very poor and slow service to be honest.

After finishing my first pint I couldn't get another one because the staff simply didn't care (luckily my other half gave up her beer).

I got different schnitzel with different side but ate it as there was nobody to speak to and I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for my order.

And, when I was paying they suddenly realised they'd mixed the order however I had to pay higher price of the dish I didn't order but ate. I don't care about 3 more Euros. It's about a principle. I would have 2 more pints, my wife a coffee, both dessert etc. The bill could easily be twice higher with a decent tip, plus - we'll be hungry tomorrow, too. And day after...

But we'll eat elsewhere for sure! This was the last...

To give feedback on this place was on of most difficult for me for simple reason - place is great, food is very good, atmosphere as well. Problem I had was the portions are really to big, especially for fried chicken. I usually don’t like places where they pay to much attention to give guest portions which they can’t eat but I assume guest is now who should be aware and order maybe on portion for 2? If I would give less stars just because of this would be unfair, but please be aware of this as in 2021 it’s not all about meat, my opinion(I am not vegy).

I have to admit their salad bar is great and full as well and you can do a great combo! Outside place is ok, but just in-front of street. Please count also on...
