We reserved a wine barrel for 2 days several weeks in advance before coming to this camping. We stayed for several days in Bled in a similar concept (which falls under the same company) and which was excellent. So our expectations for this were high but nothing could have prepared us for this.||||Upon arrival we were given a wine barrel at the reception, but when we arrived we saw there were no curtains in front of the windows. We went back to the reception and asked if we could get another barrel since all of them were vacant. But instead a woman went with us to another one and she wanted us to take the curtains from another barrel (or so we think because she spoke and understood not a single word of english). She had however no clue how to remove the curtains so we went back to the reception. Finally we got another barrel and went to check out this one. This barrel had holes all over, probably because the wood wasn't treated the right way over the last couple of years. The holes were filled up with paper... We then went to check out the bathrooms which were just disgusting. The entire building was very dated and it had the smell of urine all over...||||We went back to the reception to cancel our stay but since already paid for the first night we could only shorten it to one night. We decided just to make the best out of it.||||Use of the termes 100 meter further was included so we went there to cool off. Since it was cloudy we could only enter the internal pools and not the park outside. This was very dated as well and very slippery (we saw a elderly person fall flat on his head and no help came). It was also filled with small kids who were taking swimming lessons so it wasn't relaxing in a single way.||||If you really want to stay in Ptuj, I'd recommend to book a B&B in the center and actually enjoy your stay.||||To think that this one is more expensive than the one in Bled is just weird. Bled was luxurious with clean modern personal bathrooms... and that's what I...

A decision to sleep in one of the huge wine barrels in the wine village of Camping Terme Ptuj was not a bad one. First of all it is probably a unique concept that is also well thought. Inside each of eight barrels there is only a double and very comfortable bed, two shelves, two electric plugs and a light. There is also one window in a barrel opposite of the entrance door that is just enough to keep the fresh air coming in during the night and it faces fence of the camping with view over the fields. You can put all your luggage under the bed or you can keep it the car park that is just around the corner. Toilets and showers are also conveniently located just around the another corner. However these facilities are really old and need immediate renovation. It smells awfully in mens toliets, there was also no soap available during our stay. Also garbage collection was not done for a whole weekend so there were really many garbage bags thrown all over the camp and these were not picked up by personell which is unacceptable. ||||As you cannot cook yourself a meal you are offered half board pension in restaurant Zila just beside the entrance to the termal park. Food was under average - one day there was only white bread served for breakfast for instance and there is limited choice of self service menus for dinner that consists mostly of fried food. Drinks are available and the prices are reasonable. However the biggest problem seems to be the flys. There are so many flys that is impossible to enjoy your meal so something should be done to improve this. ||||Our stay in wine barrels included also tickets to termal park inclusive of the whole last day of our stay. Termal park is lovely, there are many visitors but you can find yourself a peaceful place for yourself also in the shadows. || ||Overall not a bad experience. It is a relatively new idea, which deserves a plus but there are really many minor flaws that should be taken into consideration to improve the...

I'm glad I didn't read the comments before we went on our camping because I would be discouraged. ||We went there for two nights, because of the covid-19 inside of water park was closed and sauna also, and the weather was bad so neither the outside of water park was opet, but we got to use pools in Grand Hotel Primus and they were pretty nice. The staff is very nice and helps with everything. ||The wine barrels were amazing. Cozy little house to stay in. You don't need anything else. On the opposite side of the door there is a window that faces a field of corns and it's really beautiful. ||The toiles are renovated, it all smells new, and clean and is pretty big. There is also a laundry room if you need it. ||We had breakfast and dinner at the Hotel and it had various of dishes. I don't eat breakfast usually but after I saw dinner I knew I couldn't miss breakfa st. ||We went for a massage and when you enter that side of the hotel you enter in peaceful, calm and very nice smelling area. Real relaxing zone. ||We loved it....

It was our second time at this camp. The newly refreshed toilets were super clean and beautifully. Probably due to covid the reception is now closed permanently and you have to go to the hotel nearby for check-in and check out. We spent two nights there and both days we were woken up by a man cutting the grass at 7 am. The second day he decided to cut the grass basiclly around our camper while we are eating the breakfast. This was too much as it caused danger and noice/exhaust gases from the lown mower was really unberable.

It’s obviously a high end campsite, which is geared for big family units. It’s doesn’t really cater for solo traveler’s, on a bike, that’s me! The pricing is for a big footprint. I payed €29 for me, my bike and one man tent. I’ve been paying circa €12 up to now. So I obviously don’t feel like I’ve got value for money. It’s at the start of a long distance cycle route so you might have thought it would cater. But I guess it all about profit!
