Hotel Atrij is part of the Terme Zreče complex and is definitely worth a visit. Although Atrij is the highest level of hotels, paradoxically the rooms are located furthest from the thermal pools - the main attraction you go to this place for.
The pool complex is spacious, although you can see that despite the renovation, it has aged some. The water is clean, the temperature is pleasant. The number of jacuzzis would be worth increasing, after all with the hotels full and guests from outside it was a small miracle to get into them. The outdoor pool is a bit cooler in winter but it can be refreshing.
The sauna village is particularly nice, with a really large variety of different types of saunas. There are also regular sauna rituals. The outdoor cooling pond is great, as are the heated loungers.
Dining for guests of the Atrij is separate from other guests, you have your own reserved table for your entire stay. The quality and taste of the food is very good. The restaurant declares the use of local food and the preparation of local dishes. The variation could be a bit more, for example, breakfast or side dishes at dinner are a bit repetitive during longer stays. The service is very nice and sophisticated, the environment is very pleasant. You definitely feel like guests of a 4* Superior hotel.
The wellness centre offers a large variety of treatments. We tested the classic massage, which was really great and did not stay with the superficial "palpation", but really relaxed the whole body. Affordable. Guests get a voucher for €10 off, but this is conditional on the treatment costing €55 or more, which the classic massage doesn't meet, a bit of an odd tactic. But so be it.
A stay at this resort is definitely a pleasant relaxation, the surroundings are beautiful, the walks even in winter are pleasant, although there are not many excursion destinations in the area. Definitely visit the Atrij Hotel or the whole resort, whether for a short trip or a...
Read moreI reserved a package with unlimited entry to the thermal pools and accommodation at Hotel Atrij for a 4-days stay via the Web site.|After I submitted my reservation request I got the message that my credit card was not accepted. I received in return an automatic e-mail saying that my reservation would only be confirmed after examination. I tried to call the numbers that were mentioned in the e-mail, unfortunately without success.|The next day I tried again both numbers at different times (opening hours from the morning till the afternoon and again in the evening) with the same result: one number never answered, the second number was a voice box with message in Slovenian telling to press 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 for different services. I tried all options and was never connected to anybody.|I sent several mails that remained unanswered as well.|Without a confirmed reservation, we could not take the risk to travel. However, an hotel not answering the phone is simply not normal. That is why we decided to withdraw our reservation request.|Only the 3rd day after my reservation, I received an automatic e-mail confirming the reservation. Nobody took care of the emails I sent the previous day. Phone calls were still not possible. I would have changed my mind if a real person would have contacted me on time. But I simply lost confidence.|Only on the day, we were supposed to arrive, a nice lady called me to tell me that she was on holiday and therefore could not answer.|Can you understand that a 4 * hotel superior relies on one person to answer the phone and answer e-mails? That is...
Read moreWe stayed at the Artij for 3 days. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. Ample storage space. Great bathroom, with radiant heating, big bathtub with shower combo. Comfortable king sized bed. The hotel is part of a 3 day hotel complex that includes the Vital, Dobrava, and Artij. The Artij is the most recently built hotel, and the nicest. It is a bit more expensive than any of the other hotels of the complex but well worth the extra $$. Guests of the Artij have their own dining and breakfast room, which is a bit more elegant than the other dining room. For anyone visiting from abroad, the Artij is the best choice. ||It is connected to the Terme, which contains the pools, sauna, fitness, etc. The Spa and Wellness Center IDILA is within the hotel complex and just a few steps away from the elevator. The IDILA is amazing with great massages, facials, etc. We spent many hours of pampering at the IDILA . ||As good as the hotel and the Spa is, what really made our stay exceptional was the nice, helpful and genuinely friendly service we received at the hotel and Spa. Everyone from the receptionist to the waiters was helpful, friendly and caring. We had not been to Slovenia before and were part of just a few foreigners at the Terme Zrece (mostly Italians), we did not expect to be treated as well as we did. If you are looking for a great and affordable weekend (or more) of activity and pampering, look no further We truly enjoyed our stay and plan to...
