😊: The room was enough, just not thought through. 😢: The host phoned me while en route to the lodge saying we need to now transfer money to secure our stay. I told her the fact it was a pay at the location booking was reason we picked the lodge as I was driving, she laughed at me saying "well it's my rules and I change it from time to time when I want to" I told her I was 15minutes out and she said it's to late and she would not have any other way. I explained that I was driving and the next stop would be at her door. She again laughed at me and said well she will send us entry codes when we paid, then she joked at me saying the most important thing is to drive safe. I honestly felt she might have had something. When we got into town we stopped and paid by EFT. She sent the codes etc. Later she phoned to the point of bother to find out if we managed. It was a new low for me from a booking host. I cannot review this accommodation, because I was not allowed to enter. After booking this through booking. Com. I arrived to a locked gate. After figuring out how to contact someone, using my Canadian cell phone, I was told that I must prepay the room by giving cash to the neighbour. After giving the lady the amount I was told to give, I was still refused entry. I wish I could say something positive, but I was left outside in the sun after riding all day on a motorcycle feeling like the worst guest from Hades. Why she wouldn't let me in, and collect the extra couple of hundred ZAR, later, I'll never know. Because I told her that if she felt we were cheating her, she could just forget about us staying, and we went to another guesthouse, where we were received...

What a fantastic place, the best I've been to. It is situated opposite a beautiful dam. The room (flatlet) is spacious, the furniture top notch and even has a Jacuzzi bath. The rooms and premises are spotless and immaculate. There is a lounge / kitchen with all the amenites including a griller /microwave. There is a large couch and flat screen tv. The bed is huge and seems to be two double beds next to each other. The hosts are wonderful and cannot do enough for their guests. They arranged for the ingredients for us to make breakfast as it is as our accomodation was self catering. They supplied chocolates, various fruits, eggs bacon, cheese, cheese grillers and jars of tea and coffee. I cannot say enough...
