Mont d'Or Hotel Clarens — Hotel in Dihlabeng Local Municipality

Last minute booking over a long weekend. Situated outside Clarens but on the main road. Yes, it is quite during the night. We stayed in the Luxury room but the rooms face a balcony where everyone can walk past so you don't have any privacy - you need to keep your curtains closed the whole time Kitchen station was well equipped but this hotel has a plumbing issue: our basin had only a trickle of 'hot water' - it was cold. We had to complain upon which they sorted out the hot water at the basin. BUT if the hotel is full and you like to shower in the morning you will find only luke warm water with little flow - i just managed to shower but feared that the water flow would stop. It would also be great if they would light the fuel in the baine-maries! Eggs, tomatoes...

The views from the restaurant and balcony are beautiful. The staff are exceptional and very helpful. I must commend them on their great service.

The spa! I could not believe how good the ladies at the spa were. One of the best massages I have had in a long time. Wish I had spent more time there and experienced a facial as they use Babor products.

The rooms are well sized and the facilities are great. The hairdryer is a full sized proper powerful hairdryer and not your standard silly hotel dryer. Things like these make my day as it means I can get done faster and go see the sights instead of drying my hair.
