Paddabult Cottages — Hotel in Drakenstein Local Municipality

What a disappointment! Beautifully located but the unit was not up to standard at all - We booked in Monday - we had to request the DSTV remote and aircon remote batteries to be changed. The main bedroom was full of bugs and mosquito's with dust under the double bed. The freezer had ice cream in from the last guests. Tuesday afternoon we saw that crockery was not washed before we occupied the unit. Upon complaining to management, the owner (Tanya) came to address us on Valentine's evening, while enjoying our supper at the unit. While addressing the issues, she interrupted and told us she accepts responsibility for the dirty crockery and freezer but nothing else. We were told that she would refund us for the balance of our stay if we were not satisfied. We enjoyed our stay at Paddabult, lovely peaceful setting and so close to Vrede and Lust for my niece's wedding. I had misplaced my heirloom locket and on the off chance 4 days later I contacted Lecinda just to enquire whether I left it in our cottage, the cottage had been serviced and it wasn't there. When Bernadette the head housekeeper had returned for her shift a couple of days later, Lecinda asked her if she perhaps knew anything about it. Bernadette had found my locket in it's little pouch. It had fallen under the bedside table. Lecinda immediately phoned me to let me know and sent me pictures so I could confirm it was mine. It was incredibly heartwarming to know it had been found and kept safe. Thank you Bernadette you are an Angel. Paddabult, is highly recommended for their service and integrity. Kindest Regards...

I stayed in cottage number 6 which is quite close to the road so you could hear the cars going past. It was very nice inside the cottage. Everything was clean and the bathroom and kitchen were quite modern. There was some tea and coffee and sugar / sweetener. There's also a small fridge and microwave. The gardens are lovely, very green, lots of grass and it's well maintained. It's a nice place to stay if you want to just relax in a quiet place or do activities in the area. The wifi worked well most of the time but I did have some intermittent connection issues at times. There were 2 rooms. One had a double bed and the other 2 single beds with a shared bathroom that had a door leading in from each...
