Dawn Mountains Estate — Hotel in Drakenstein Local Municipality

I had attended Dawn Mountains for a wedding. It is roughly 45m to an hour out of Cape Town, near Klapmutz. Very surprisingly it was a Grape Vine Estate with the most peaceful surroundings, owned by a Muslim. The estate is fully Halaal. It has ablution facilities, a beautiful salaah Khana, on the water's edge. It so reminded me of the Lake Palace Hotel in Udaipur, India, which I visited. The barn was converted into a beautiful hall, fully air conditioned and well lit. It also has facilities for stay overs. The grounds are meticulously groomed, with the best South African flora and bush. The toilets are smart and clean. Very delicious catering from Moerat Caterers. On arrival we were spoilt with finger foods and drinks, relaxing on the lawn, as the weather was perfect. What more can I say, a wonderful restful day in nature. The wedding was the cherry on the top. Beautiful laid out tables with eucalyptus branches on all tables. White flowers in vases gave it a touch of serenity. Very friendly family, who made us feel most welcome. Not only that, the family themselves were of international blend, so we met many foreigners at the wedding. I absolutely fell in love with Dawn Mountains, a Beautiful venue for a wedding, Wudu Facilities in bathrooms and outside, Solaah Gaanah near completion 'on the water's, the view are absolutely stunning, one immediately forgets about the city and the beauty, serenity makes one want to stay. The interior decoration for the accommodation makes one feel as if you in a 'Designer home'- awesome job by owner and wife. The 2 hall's for hire for weddings has everything you want for a wedding, aircon, chandeliers, views, even a honeymoon suite overlooking the water.
