Massage was average at best and NOT what I booked.

We booked a 60 min back, neck and HEAD massage at the spa for our trip to Dullstroom. This is also exactly how this massage appears on the pricelist. I was very specific about this booking as my favourite part of a massage is the head massage portion. Phoned owner to make booking and actually told him over the phone this is my favourite part. He asked that I just send him am sms with the details as he was driving Sent owner sms again specifying the Massage we wanted to book Owner phoned me back after a while to confirm booking as sms hasn't come through yet so again told him what we wanted. Owner replied to sms bit later that it came through now. Got to spa and therapist asked what treatment we wanted, so booking was either not written down or they did not read properly. I again specified what I wanted. Please note I was VERY clear when I asked for the treatment (5 times)

We did not get any form of a head massage during the treatment. When I asked about this when we were told the treatment was done, the therapist said the head is not included and it is only a back neck and shoulder massage????

I showed her their own pricelist. They don't even have 60min back neck and shoulders massage, only the one I booked including the head massage. She offered to do extra 30 min head massage for free but we did not have time and I was already so irritated that I would not have enjoyed it.

What was supposed to be a relaxing treatment just left me fuming due to...

This was not what we expected, you don’t get what is advertised, your needs are certainly not met.

We arrived there VERY happy we even joked around with the staff as we signed some papers and she lead us to our room. Upon entering the room we see that this is not the room we booked. We booked the fountain room (we have the proof) we also emailed the owner (Ignas) twice before we left to see if everything is in order. After we found that it wasn’t the room we wanted we went back to politely talk to the lady and ask her about the mix up. She told us to call ignas, we called him, he was rude, basically refused to do anything about it until we suggested that we get the room we ordered the next night and also blamed his faulty system - which he also admitted to not even checking. The reason I’m saying this is because the owner tries to discredit you by saying that you are the problem not his terrible service or lack of management. Ive read some of the other reviews on google and Trip advisor, they’re all the same, they’re full of complaints about this man. The breakfast wasn’t good at all. We had to squeeze water out of eggs and our bacon tasted and smelt foul. All and all it’s not as advertised. And the owner will surely try and discredit this , but have a look at the reviews and also give the place a visit...

Upon arrival, we encountered some issues with our stay. The staff at check-in were quite loud. Additionally, we were assigned to the Bramble room instead of the Rose Cottage, and there was no explanation provided for this change. The Bramble room had a few maintenance issues, including broken tiles, mismatched paint, and a rusting fireplace. Ventilation in the room was inadequate, and the bath/shower setup was not suitable for taller individuals, as it had a DIY shower with cable ties that made showering uncomfortable. Some windows had broken blinds, and the towels provided were not white. Furthermore, the bathroom heater posed a potential hazard as it seemed to be causing damage to the ceiling.

We paid a total of R1000 for a one-night stay for two people, which included breakfast. Unfortunately, our breakfast experience was also disappointing. The omelette served was cold and appeared to be pre-made, while the toast suffered the same fate. Moreover, the omelette seemed undercooked. To add to our dissatisfaction, the breakfast setup was disorganized, with the coffee maker and music in the dining area not being prepared on time.

Overall, our stay was far from satisfactory. The location of the accommodation, situated outside of town near a settlement village, did not make us feel...
