Phumlani Lodge — Hotel in Emalahleni Local Municipality

This is my first stay at Phumlani Lodge. The room was perfect, as the photo's depict.||The Lodge has a swimming pool. If you do have children, there is large open spaces where kids could run around. A jungle gym would be a good addition for the kids entertaiment. Free undercover parking is provided. Vehicles are also secure at night. The lodge has no Wi-Fi that I was made aware of. The area where the Lodge is situated is, I would not recommend that you walk anywhere. Rather take your vehicle and be attentive.||I think this can be a superb Lodge, with a couple of minor changes.||The front of the lodge could be more appealing. Plants, fountains make a huge difference. On my arrival, I was not checked in, I only completed the check-in forms at breakfast the next morning. Staff could be better trained in making guests feel welcome. Staff were also communnicating with one another at the top of their voices.||I was the only patron for supper. Supper was basic, but delicious. Some care and friendliness would have made my stay much more appealing. Large dishes were used for a steak, only made for me. Use smaller dishing bowls on a warming tray. Rather than make various dishes, ask me what I would have preferred, fish or beaf. I only had the fish. If you say supper or breakfast is ready at a certain time, have it ready at that time. Breakfast, I rushed, as the staff were not ready with preparing the food.||There is some 'finesse' lacking at this lodge. But, I will say this....this lodge can be become a great venue.
