Blessed Toes Self Catering — Hotel in Gauteng

A terrible experience. You could not pay me enough to go back! Incredibly incompetent owner with very little expertise in ensuring guest happiness and comfort.||On arrival at Blessed Toes for which I had for in a month in advance, I discovered to my dismay that the unit was nothing like the photos - very cramped, little cupboard space, strangely designed bathroom and the "kitchenette" of which no photos exist, was missing a sink and cutlery. The bar fridge also froze the top 2 shelves which made it hard to manage.||On several occasions my power tripped and one morning I was left without power, even though this was raised with the owner who did nothing.||The hot water pressure was very weak and on 2 occasions I was suddenly left with no hot water in the middle of a shower.||There was no washing machine or iron available but needed to be used through the owner. The maid did the washing but an unnatural amount of softener was used, none of which smelt on my clothes. My clothes often came back smelling of dogs so I'm sure it was washed with dogs blankets. Washing could not be done on weekends because the maid was not available, this often left me in a predicament.||I once accidently left the main gate open and I was rudely reprimanded by the owner via SMS.||The area was generally quite noisy at night, owing to the numerous pets the owner keeps.||The unit was separated by the other by a very thin door which let all the noise through. I was often forced to keep very quiet at normal times because of complaints from neighbors however they were left to make as much noise as possible. I alerted the owner who again did absolutely nothing, most likely due to the other guests paying more for the larger unit.||Near the end of my visit I was woken up by loud music at 4am, intentionally by the other guests. I alerted the owner once again who "told me to be patient". I decided to confront the guests and an altercation occurred which left me injured as well as breaking my chain and shirt. The owners insisted it was my fault despite the obvious evidence. Fortunately for the guests and owner I did not involve the police.||I left very soon after the incident, before my scheduled departure. I was not offered a reimbursement and the owner actually expected me to leave early as she made a double booking...

I am not sure if i qualify to give this review not having stayed there, but i did spend the day at the guesthouse doing some contracting work.||the owner Gilda Sousa, showed me around and i was very impressed with what i saw.||My mother always told me "when you take a girl to a restaurant, watch how she treats the waiter, because that is an indicator of how she will treat you after you have been married for a while"||Now, i am not a waiter, only a contractor, and i and my workers were treated with the utmost respect, friendliness and kindness.||i am no stranger to guest houses and this one rates right up there with the best.||i love that there is plenty of parking, a pool table, a swimming pool and a TV to watch while lying in bed.||Go there for the friendliest treatment you could wish...

After a long search on the internet, I found Blessed Toes, and booked for my mom to stay there. I wanted to make sure that my mom was in a lovely, safe place as she was going to stay there for 2 weeks whilst she did a course. ||She absolutely loved her stay at Blessed Toes and the owner made her feel very at home and was very kind throughout her whole stay. I would definitely recommend...
