Genie's Nest — Hotel in Gauteng

Had a terrible time at this place. The address is in Eastlynne not Villeria as indicated here. On arrival the room I got checked into had a weird odor. As I picked up my pillow a bug jumped out from under it. I was totally weirded out and asked to cancel.

Outdoors areas and the building looks nothing like the photos any-more and shows a lot of neglect which is in stark contrast to the indoors. I literally could not recognize the outdoors of this place from photos on arrival.

The name is a bit confusing since it copies a reputable Guest house in Pretoria with the same name.

Booked another Bnb in 20min. Unfortunately left my phone in the room. The host Gene made it as unpleasant and expensive as possible for me to collect my phone by being unavailable in all but peak traffic and fighting constantly. This even though there is staff at this location all day. A week on Police and Lawyers where required to resolve this matter.

Funcionárias são extremamente fofoqueiras e mentirosas, dona é pão-duro, casa não é ruim, mas perguntei se tinha gerador, porque falta muito a luz lá, disseram que sim, e é verdade, tem mas não ligam, fiquei 3 meses na unidade 5, a maior, tem um ar condicionado no quarto, mas não me permitiram utilizar, a piscina vive suja com um cano dentro "para limpar", se você tenta reclamar com a dona, ela te responde grosseiramente, a funcionaria entra em casa mesmo sem ser autorizada, já que ela tem a chave, senti certa insegurança em deixar coisas de valores lá.
