Hudson House - luxury hotel accommodation in Lynnwood Road Pretoria East — Hotel in Gauteng

I visited here for work. The travel agency gave me three hotel options. This was the cheapest. I wanted to save the company some money, so I picked this one.

I've been to the other two places (who shall not be named), who were double the price and 1 star higher according to the department of tourism.

This place was much better. Like, night and day difference. The department of tourism in Gauteng needs to be audited.

The staff were infinitely more kind to me than I deserved.

I arrived smelling awful after a long sweaty day. I was grumpy, belligerent and foggy-brained (I.e. slow). They made it feel like that was really no problem at all. I didn't even have to pull out my literal "pleas excuse me I have autism" card.

I felt very safe. Like I was back home in Paarl.

Smoking section within half awake stumbling-distance and the wind blew the smoke away from the rooms. Perfect for me and non-smokers alike.

I forgot something important in my room before leaving after checking out. Can't remember what, but while I was meticulously choosing my driving playlist for my seven minute commute to the office, I heard a knock on my car window.

Visited Hudson house with a friend to see if it was wheelchair friendly and as a potential place we could use it as a place to dress and possibly get ready before a future wedding with the intention of spending the night before and after the wedding. We made an appointment but on arrival only some cleaning staff were available to show us around. The room with disabled adaptations was being permanently used by a member of staff. Welcoming service from the very first contact. The owner was kind enough to let us checkin and work even though it was earlier than they note for checkin.

This place is spotless, comfortable, well located and the garden is beautifully attended. The rooms are BIG, beds are super comfortable and the staff could not do enough for us.
