Guest House Seidel — Hotel in Gauteng

When they say pictures can be deserving, they mean this.||Was booked in this B&B for the weekend since i had to be at work for Friday and Monday. To be honest the accommodation was really terrible, the room was smelling, the bed sheets were stained and when i took them off to be washed the next day, the same sheets were put back on the bed, ... breakfast was terrible, couldn't continue having breakfast for the rest on my staying. The shower was dirty, had to use my flip flop when showering. There is no pool as it was shown on their web page.||I have nothing against the people there, their welcoming was warm and nice but the state of the accommodation was revolting...

We stayed in the self-catering unit for two nights. There was a terrible and persistent smell to the place, like it hadn't been used in ten years. The decor dates from the 1970s and it isn't charming. Furniture and electrical appliances were obviously quite old and scuffed - the microwave must have been one of the first ever produced. Taps in the shower had non-matching heads and weren't marked hot and cold. Some of the lights did not have lamp shades, only bare bulbs. One bathroom opened directly into the kitchen. The garden was neglected, full of weeds and the paving at the back cracked and uneven due...

We stayed at Guest House Seidel for one night as a stopover for a reunion and unfortunately did not have the opportunity to spend much time at the guest house. However the experience was great. The owners and staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the surrounds quiet. The breakfast was great and value for money. In fact the whole experience was great value...
