I recently had a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience at “Inn and Out Sandton Park.” This place is far from what I expected, and I feel compelled to warn others.
Upon arrival, it was immediately apparent that the building and grounds are poorly maintained. Litter was strewn everywhere, and the overall look was just shabby. The exterior of the building is cracking and falling apart, with dead plants and leaves adding to the rundown atmosphere. The parking situation is chaotic and wholly inadequate, leaving guests to fend for themselves in disorganized spaces.
Inside, things only got worse. The room was dull, dingy, and utterly uninspired. The lighting is inconsistent, creating a dark, depressing feel throughout. No cutlery was provided, and the kitchen taps didn’t even work. The bathroom and toilet were in a state of disrepair, with visible signs of wear and tear everywhere. On top of all this, there was no lace on the curtains, meaning you either kept the curtains closed or exposed yourself to anyone walking by outside.
The place was dirty, with empty alcohol bottles lying around in common areas. The atmosphere was made worse by the loud and inconsiderate guests on the upper floors. Even when I requested a room higher up, I was placed wherever the staff saw fit. Speaking of the staff—they were unprofessional, many didn’t speak English, and some were even asleep on the job! To add insult to injury, I was charged an additional fee over and above the booking cost, even though I had booked online.
The overall lack of care and hospitality at this establishment was so appalling that I had to check out early and find other accommodations. For the price they’re charging, you’re far better off booking at Sun 1 or Mint. Avoid this place at all costs—it’s a complete waste of money and a massive...
Read moreI recently stayed at Inn & Out Sandton and I must say my experience was quite dissappointing. The room's linen and pillows were stained, which was unhygienic and unpleasant. Despite arriving at 3 pm for check-in, I had to wait an extra 30 minutes, which was frustrating as now my other plans had to be postponed. The noise levels in the hotel were high, especially in the early hours of the morning, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. When I requested extra towels they never arrived, which was inconvenient. The hotel's amenities were limited and it's essential to note that most amenities, such as an iron, fridge, utensils, and microwave, stove, pots, cups, glasses, kettle, pans, etc. are not provided in some rooms; alerting the guests on this before they arrive would help guests plan accordingly. There was only one iron available for the entire building, which was impractical. The hotel's pictures did not accurately represent the rooms, which was misleading. However, the desk staff were kind and helpful where they could help. Unfortunately, the hotel had a strong smoking smell, likely due to the security guard and his friends I assume. Additionally, I experienced electrical faults during my stay, with a leaking toilet. Overall, my experience at Inn & Out Sandton was disappointing and I would not recommend it to others without significant improvements. It's worth noting that everyone's experience can be different, and what I encountered might not be the same for others. I hope the hotel takes feedback seriously and makes necessary changes to enhance the...
