Worst experience ever. First, I was harassed by these guys at the entrance. Can they not ask first if we actually need help/guidance/photos in English? They see you and pounce on a newcomer. Ridiculous and quite irritating & they want money when you are leaving? For what? For harassing people? I was asked by Nedbank to go & get biometrics verified. Lo and behold, the closest home affairs office to me was this one in Alexandra. Gosh, most unhelpful staff as well. I was eventually told that I need to apply for a new ID, in order to update my biometrics. Is that the only way? Apparently so, as my fingerprints is not on their system 🙄. Why??? Definitely a subject for another day. Further, I couldn't apply for a new ID, even though I was there, as we must make an online appointment 😅. So I was told to read the notice outside regards the process. Eventually the lady in front calls me back inside and tells me that she can give me an appointment then and there. She was waiting for something though, a bribe perhaps? I told her that I didn't have any money & wouldn't be able to even pay the R140 for the application anyway.
