Linga Longa Guest House — Hotel in Gauteng

My fiance and I stayed at the guesthouse and Salo and Graham were the perfect hosts . They picked us up from the airport and from the beginning they were absolutely amazing. The place is stunning and everything is to perfection. I will definitely be going there again as they made us feel so welcome and took care of our every need. Definitely the best guesthouse in Kempton park and the food was superb. Really beautiful experience and we will never forget their hospitality and efficiency. We had to get back to the airport the next day at 0500 and they were ready and waiting for us well in advance with a beautiful smile early in the morning to drop us off at the airport. UPDATE - 2 years later: The Linga Longa is still our go-to guest house. It has become our "home away from home when traveling in and around Johannesburg.

Original review: The Linga Longa is quite simply our favorite place to stay in the Johannesburg area.

The owners, Graham and Salo, are very friendly and helpful.

Airport pickup and drop off is available for a very reasonable fee.

The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.

The back yard is a lovely, quiet, and relaxing space with grass, flowers, seating for sun and shade, and a swimming pool for those hot summer days.

Breakfast is delicious and cooked to order; they even have an American-style filter...

I stayed at the Linga Longa Guest House with my sons for nine nights in September 2022. The three rooms that we stayed in were spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, in fact the whole place is spotless. There is a good selection for breakfast, including a very tasty full English if you're feeling hungry. The outside bar by the lovely clear swimming pool is a great place to relax and operates on a honesty basis, you just write in the book what you've had and it's added to your bill. Graham and Salo are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble. I've got to say this place is a true gem and for future trips to South Africa I will not be staying...
