Lions Rest — Hotel in Gauteng

I had to stay in this area for business and due to the fact that there were not many establishments to choose from, I chose this place with some trepidation.||||I was however pleasantly surprised.||||The guest house is well managed and reception staff were very helpful and attentive.||||Rooms were of standard quality with oldish furnishings, but at least they were clean.||||The gardens in this guesthouse are amazing and well manicured.||||The buffet dinner was very nice and tasty ( above my expectations) and excellent value for money. ||Buffet breakfast was standard, nothing fancy...but edible.||Bathrooms as just extremely small and cramped - just with a...

I stayed at Lions Rest guesthouse for 3 nights during a business trip. Firstly and probably most prominently is the service and friendliness of the staff. Dinner and breakfast was always very good and felt like a home cooked meal. The room was very cold but there are luckily enough blankets and a heater (another heater could be added at additional cost). The bathtub in the room was a nice feature but I think a shower would be a better option. Even though I do mention a few negative points I am still giving a 5 star rating as I believe this guesthouse has lots of potential and deserves...

All I have to say is wow wow wow!!! I'm very impressed, I made a call to Angelique on the 20th of August 2025 to enquire about my shoes that I had left there in September of 2025. I am blown away to say almost a year later they have safely kept my shoes after I had a lot of searching. I then thought let me try Lion's Rest I probably left them there since I checked in both my Gauteng /Limpopo residence. A very reliable business you are 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾, I highly recommend you utilize their services. Once again thank you very much Lion's Rest you've restored my faith in the hospitality...
