The most perfect place to stay. You are welcomed by Meg into her incredible garden oasis, and your troubles just melt away. A dreamy boutique guesthouse, with only a few rooms, all beautifully appointed. The pool is cool and inviting, with plenty of lounges for everyone. The room we had was stunning, a huge comfy bed, soft linens, arm chairs you can sink into and a large, light filled bathroom (with a bath!). The breakfast is freshly prepared and varies every day, no stodgy hotel buffet food here. Fresh fruit and juice, eggs, toast pancakes, waffles. It's a rotating delight. Meg had wonderful personalised advice for us on things to do and see in Plett and the surrounding areas, and booked us in for fabulous dinner nearby. Walking distance to the beach, and shops. I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Long Story Guest House - stunning setting offering a perfect blend of tranquility and natural beauty and also only a 5 minute walk to access some of the most amazing coastline & beaches you will find anywhere in the world . The decor is tastefully done, with every detail thoughtfully chosen to create a welcoming, warm atmosphere.

The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. One of the highlights of my stay was discovering that Long Story supports a local winemaker, Lodestone and we were able to sample a glass of the local bubbly with our delicious breakfast.

The long story is the attention to detail in the decorating and desighn of the place is amazing and the attention to detail of service in this place is amazing. Evans truly loves people and loves to meet people’s needs, the service he offers comes straight from the heart he is kind and wants you to have a wonderful time and to be happy. Sometimes you can go somewhere and you feel served like people are trying to do a good a job well with Evans it’s natural and this puts one at ease at the same time feeling completely supported and held while you are on holiday.
