Rusticana Guest House — Hotel in George

The only positive was the friendly lady that opened the door..||The owner was pompous, rude and not even willing to be accommodating ... he displayed poor professionalism and business etiquette and this in front of witnesses....we booked a deluxe king suite and got a room that resembled a family room with an awkward wall/ room divider. The tv remote dit not work and when questioning the owner we were rudely told to take our money and go the local hotel where a hotel room was cheap.. this even after I showed him my booking and their email response to my request ! They clearly do false advertising if you don’t get what you booked ... so what happen to good customer service ! I will be never recommend this institution to anyone! We stayed in 3 self catering rooms which were clean and comfortable but not really good to cook in. 1 did not have a fridge which could have been a problem if we were not a group. However, there are plenty of braais by the pool and we made use of this and were provided with firewood at no extra cost. Fanie, the owner was very friendly and even provided us with a snack while we were waiting for our meat to cook.||There is safe off road parking outside each self catering unit. 5 stars do not do justice for this review!! This is literally home away from home. Matthys and Sophia were amazing hosts. Very friendly, caring, welcoming and accommodating honestly. Perfect family getaway, even though we actually just came for funeral. THERE IS A VERY NICE CLEAN POOL HERE TOO!!! The service, staff and accommodation is really awesome especially if you on a budget. Rooms have air on n heater, The owner, Matthys and Sophia went beyond and above customer service .
