Ingwe Manor — Hotel in Hibiscus Coast Local Municipality

I had the privilege to stay at Ingwe earlier this month. In retrospect I wasn't completely sure what to expect as my experiences weren't great at various guest houses during my travels over the years.

Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised as to the warm welcome by Sally and Daisy. Again, it seemed great at first but being skeptical I kept myself open to possible disappointment.

The service excellence continued. The breakfasts, lunches and dinners were top notch. The venue, the view and the pool absolutely struck a nerve, and going forward I hope that there will be a room available when I'm back in Margate soon. Sally, I understand why you're consistently fully booked. You and your staff are exceptional hosts. I've never felt so welcome and comfortable.

The rooms are exquisite and clean. Your ability to make guests feel that welcome should never go unnoticed.

I am so exceptionally happy and pleased with my experience.

We booked accommodation at Glenmore Sands (don't go there...EVER!) & decided to spoil ourselves with some spa treatments at Ingwe Manor...We arrived at Ingwe & were thrilled to find this hidden gem! Gorgeous sea views(without being in the middle of the hustle & bustle) tastefully appointed rooms, fabulous pool area for relaxing in the sun, attentive service from Daisy (nothing is too much trouble for this lady!)...it was all so fabulous.... that we went back to Glenmore, packed all our stuff & moved to Ingwe & stayed for the weekend instead of just the 3 hour spa yreatments we had booked!||The spa treatments were fabulous, & set the tone for the rest of our stay. Ingwe is relaxed & casual with emphasis on personal service. I made my reservation online - made EFT 50% deposit - balance to be paid. we traveled for almost 8 hours... ON ARRIVAL - NO WELCOME - even before we could take our bags out... We were told by the managers husband that the credit card machine was not working, we had to pay cash... it must be paid soonest. he told me where to find the ATM. we than went to a ATM to draw R3000 in cash - got back and paid Colin the R2600.00 - he had no receipt !!! the following day we were told by a staff member that a lady was stabbed in the neck at the ATM !!!!||2 days later I asked again for a receipt - this time to the manager - I was given a note on on a company letterhead - 'TOTAL PAID IN FULL' - SAYS TAX INVOICE -BUT NO INVOICE NUMBER... NO SIGNATURE - THIS IS SCARY ? makes me wonder ? Daisy from the kitchen staff had to receive the room keys from us... honeymoon room rather a bit tatty......
