Do you know what is Average/Balanced/Intermediate. For the price and location is not to bad. Only thing that is really bad, is the Internet. You get download speeds of 341Kbps and I am a technician who uses his laptop and phone for work. This not Ayoba and apology not accepted. Why? Cause are you really trying to say I am the only 1 who complained about the internet? One of our Branch managers had to go to a different guesthouse cause he couldn't do any work with this weak internet speeds. Shameless. If you don't need the WiFi then this place is good. Smapl g

The lodge is yet on the beach. It is a walk to restaurants, pubs, shisanyama. I also walked to Shoprite and Spar. The rooms are big with comfortable beds. The breakfast is delicious and has a variety to choose from (buffet). There is plenty of parking and security access. I would advise one to book rooms on the first or second floor for a bit of sea view. Areas of improvement hence my score of 4.I wish they can hv a microwave and hand in a gate remote because sometimes the security guard is not in the post and one has to wait.

Margate is still recovering but the municipality has made great strides with their repairs since the damaging floods. The single street town has quite a few stores that have closed since which is very sad. I drove through to the famous Margate pier, and there were a few fisherman, just at that time, a young man hooked and landed a shark, which he safely released after a couple of photographs. Other than that the beach front was quiet and in need of more visitors to help bolster and bring Margate back to its former glory.
