My family stayed here in 2018. We where all chatting now & I just remembered I hadn't reviewed this place. Coming from PE we needed a place to rest at so at 8pm we found this place. A side note of the main route back to Durban. It was very well kept. The night manager was also very calm and friendly. My mother and I got the strawberry lips room and my then fiance took the red square room. Both where neatly detailed. The floors where heated which was a bonus since it was winter. The kitchen was closed by then so we booked in and found a Kfc to get food from. Overall so far the stay was going OK considering we had been to look at 3 horrible bnbs just before we got to this one. What I'm about to say next though might seem a bit twisted. We ate, Showered and everyone left to there rooms tired and ready to catch some winkeye. Little did we know how strange the night would be... In our room my mother and I said goodnight and went to sleep however something woke me up at around at around midnight. Looking at the darkened room I realized we weren't alone. There where 2 men in our room! Both burly body building type blokes. They where talking and trying to get our attention. Freaked out and in a dazed state I caught my senses and switched the light on only to see there was no one but mother and I in the room! Boy did I think I was crazy until the next morning when my fiance came barging in at 5am. He wanted nothing more than to leave asap. We had a shower and rushed off like the devil was chasing him. We didn't even get breakfast. As we drove of he explained why he was so adamant to Leave. He had a visitor in his room also. Only this one couldn't be seen only heard walking in the room thumping around. He said every time he'd put the light on the thing would stop and once the light went off it would walk and drag itself around near the couch again. He even checked outside but nothing was in the entrance or by the yard outside. Subsequently he decided it would be best for him to stay awake. Overall I wouldn't stay here again based on what felt like haunting. However I'm sure if it wasn't for that I'd stay as the place is well detailed...
Read moreThee worst service i have ever revieved from any B&B.... i will never ever making a booking or stay at this place. Management (Jimmy) is extremely Arrogant with no customer service or proffessionalism. Front desk personnel are incompetent I slept at the estsblishment about 2 times before and will never be going back there again. Called in early in the day to reserve a room and they CONFIRMED a room was available. Three hours later they call again and say there are no more rooms. When i ask to speak to management, they were of absolutely of no help, arrogant and rude, slammed the call in my ear . They call again after an hour and say they do have a room available, when i get to establishment || im told yet again that there are no more rooms avaible. Im sooo disappointed and felt disrespected and disregarded. I would never advice anyone to make a booking here. No one apologised for this mistake nor even...
Read moreWe were stranded in Mthatha one night when massive roadwork on the M2 had delayed our trip from Port Elizabeth to Coffee Bay for a couple of hours. We called the Bellagio and Adila immediately opened the gate for us even though it was already late. Our room was nice and spacious and very red. The bed was comfy and the shower clean. We got some good rest. The breakfast was amazing, they really put their own spin on the omelette. Overall we were very happy with our night there and Adila is not just an amazing and accommodating host, but a great and knowledgeable person who you can ask anything and have lovely conversations with. This little hidden gem in Mthatha gets my...
