OMAHA Luxury B&B /Spa Mthatha — Hotel in King Sabata Dalindyebo Local Municipality

OMAHA appears to be a developing business and also they appear to be improving most of their offerings. OMAHA currently doesn't offer dinner but breakfast only.

They have solar power supply as their electricity back up in the event of Eskom loadshedding disruptions. Wi-fi signal and speed is good. The lighting especially at night makes OMAHA to be very visible and outstanding in the area and that's something I like a lot.

They service delivery is indeed much better as compared to some places I've visited however there is no perfect service delivery in any place. Generally friendly people, calmly and understanding too, I think most people will find comfort when they lodge there, that's my view.

Other amenities that are located within a 2km radius are e.g. ATMs, Savoy Spar, restaurants like Spur, Nandos, Pizza Shop, KFC and then there're Saloons, fuel stations, car washes, and also access to the N2 highway is within 1km.

Lastly, I say as at the first 6 months of 2022 in the which I've been to Mthatha several times in different months, in the CBD and surrounding areas of Mthatha the roads are full of potholes and this is something that's due to government poor...

From the outside, this BnB looks beautiful and well-kept, which gave me high hopes. Unfortunately, the inside was a completely different story. While the rooms are aesthetically pleasing, the linen was dirty. When I raised this with the receptionist, she responded that she was “too busy” to change the bedding and only replaced the pillows.

I struggled to sleep due to the uncleanliness. The bathrooms had no room spray, there weren’t enough towels provided, and overall hygiene—especially the linen—was below standard.

To make matters worse, the receptionist was extremely rude and lacked basic customer service skills. She didn’t make me feel welcome at all. I asked for the owner’s or manager’s contact details and she refused to provide them.

The rooms are beautiful. A suggestion for the cleaners to clean the ceiling with further duster as well to remove spider webs.

I would also suggest small tables in case one has to work or has an assignment, I had both during my visit and had to do them on the bed.

Regular service checks on the rooms is very important, my shower door was not steady and constantly moved from its rail.

When I called to enquire about the rooms online vs the place, the lady had no information at all about the prices online and how it worked, a suggestion again to have employees informed about this stuff especially because it's about their workplace.
