Nadine's self catering accommodation — Hotel in Kou-Kamma Local Municipality

Wow. We were traveling back from Christmas holidays and we’re looking for an inexpensive no fuss, one night stop over. We were happy with this little place in Stormsrivier on that count, but had low expectations otherwise. Man was I wrong. The place we stayed was simple but lacked little, set in a beautiful large well maintained garden, beautiful lawn, even with a stream running through it. The location was amazing. Quiet, safe, in the lovely quiet village. We took a quiet walk through the village in the Friday afternoon sun. Beautiful. Came home to make a braai, watch the cricket on full DSTV and settle into comfy beds for the night. Will visit again and will definitely consider staying longer! The hosts were lovely. The hosts Martin and Delene were very welcoming and friendly and made us feel at home right away. They are knowledgeable about the town and surroundings and were able to give us good advice on activities, restaurants, hiking trails etc. The self catering unit was spacious, extremely neat and clean and well equipped. A huge bonus was the lovey garden and 'Island of Dreams' with the stream running through the property, but hidden away like a gem - so peaceful and beautiful.
