I like to write reviews while I'm lying in the room able to really say how the experience feels. We are travelling with a 16 month old baby too.
A truly exquisit French vibe, decor and ambiance of an antique boutique hotel in France - I feel like I could open my curtains and see the Eifel Tower and people riding their bikes with a Baguette in their baskets.
Comfortable beds, stunning bath. Air-conditioning which can be a saving grace for a sweaty, hot, teething child.
Coffee is great. I love my coffee... and this morning it was delicious.
Breakfast is great With a lovely choice of different breakfast foods.
It's quiet and we have our own patio, TV , mini fridge with a little milk In the fridge for our teas and coffees.
It is evident that every last detail has been thought of throughout the whole property.
HOWEVER - I did just ask the kitchen staff if they could boil my daughters milk bottles in some hot water on a stove. The kitchen staff were lovely and ok with it but the lady manager refused and actually said I could come boil it on the stove myself. Which I said fine... but then proceeded to put hot water in the pot and give me the pot.
We had been travelling for days and needed to sterilise them - so eventually my mother actually insisted they boil my bottles...(I'm a bit of a push over) Done with much hesitation from the lady manager-
I went to check on them and get them back Literally just needed to be boiled for a few minutes .. I said "thank you so much - we have been travelling so long with those stinky bottles" with a big smile on my face...
And the managers goes... "Oh and she survived?!"
Haha.. I mean.. bit of an underhand comment there... sorry I won't risk my kid getting thrush on the tongue from dirty bottles 😄 Anyway. It got done. I just wish they were a bit more understanding and just boiled my bottles on a stove for a few minutes without a huff.
Other than that

Read moreI stayed at this beautiful B&B in July 2017. Since I had to stay more than I had initially planned, I got to see two of their rooms.
The owners are very friendly and helpful and have managed to tastefully decorate the whole place in a beautiful French theme. They really pulled it off, nothing looks or feels forced. The garden and pool are very well kept and give the whole place a relaxing atmosphere.
The first room I stayed in, Cigale, is very quiet and private and even has its own deck, complete with a sofa and other deck furniture.
Since I had to stay more than I had thought, and the room was booked after my planned departure, I was moved into another room, I think no 7, Mimosa. That one is on the other side of the building and has direct access to the garden and the pool, and a shared deck. The room is absolutely beautiful and has a white theme and antique furniture. It is really gorgeous and they've done a really good job decorating it. It will most definitely be the room I choose when I visit again.
Other important aspects include the fast, reliable wifi, much better than in some big hotels I've stayed in, and the fact that this establishment has been constantly ranking at the top of B&B's in this area for quite a few years. It is also really close to a public beach, literally across the road, and very close to Lifestyle and Ballito Bay (I think about 10 minutes driving).
I can only congratulate the owners on doing such a good job and I recommend it to anybody who wants to spend a few relaxing days...
