I spent the weekend at Paul Kruger 63 in cottage no 59 with my wife and parents. It was the last available accommodation in and around Robertson due to the popular Wacky Wine Festival and I had no idea what to expect from the self catering accommodation on offer. ||We were adamant about staying in Robertson for the weekend and finally decided to book the cottage. This turned out to be the perfect getaway spot as it is centrally located in the heart of town! ||Paul Kruger 63 is no five star establishment but it's no hole in the wall by any stretch of the imagination either.|The rooms and decor are quaint and spacious (more than the website pics alluded to) and the accommodation was quite literally perfect for our needs. All the basic amenities are catered for with plenty of space for the family and includes a private backyard with built-in braai and comfortable seating. Management even allow you to bring your dogs along with prior notification and a small set of understandable rules.||The cottages are all well maintained and are situated very neatly on a secure plot. The coffee shop and bakery right next door make a fresh variety of breads and rolls a quick and welcome reality. There was enough parking for two vehicles in tandem on the property behind automated gates as well. ||We had a ball of a time and even though most of the weekend was spent out and about on various wine estates coming "home" in the evenings was better than I expected. ||Thanks to Mike for helping us improve our memories of our weekend away and for being available to cater...
Read moreWe stayed at no 63 what an unexpected treasure! A very friendly welcome from Mike the Manager, who took time to make sure we were comfortable in our self catering cottage and gave us maps of the area and wine estates. An old quaint cottage, typical of the area. Every thing was sparklingly clean and comfortable with air con and TV in lounge. Free Wi-fi access too. Built in braai in garden and a beautifully manicured, walled in garden, perfect for our two mini poodles! Kitchen was well equipped, plentiful towels in bathroom and good shower pressure. We are used to king size beds, so the smaller size bed was a squeeze, but there were 3 other beds to over flow into! I would definitely recommend a stay at this friendly, secure and well kept...
Read moreWhat a nice place to stay, very nice flat. Just the higene from the cleaners are not that good. Braai tongs still dirty in the drawer from the previous braai. A lack of curtains, blinds. If the girls could just clean the flats nicely it would be awesome. Shower door is a mess, leaks and gets of the tracks. The furniture are very very dirty. The guy that had to check us in on Sunday, we had to wait 20 minutes in front of the gate for him. No toilet paper in the bathroom, luckily he came back and i asked. But otherwise we had a very nice stay. Thanx for...
