i do not normally write negative reviews...but this is an exception.||||with the exception of the reception staff at the hotel and a security guard at the casino entrance the service is horrendous. in fact its so bad that myself and the bloke i was travelling with were making jokes about it. an example: how many employees does it take to get a bottle of tomato sauce at queens hotel? none...because they dont' do anything. (in fact it took 3 employees 20 minutes or so to find 1 bottle of tomato sauce... apparently it could only be sauced from the Casino....in appears that almost anything you need, including, food, cool drinks, or basically almost anything to sustain life is apparently found at the casino, the hotel does not have room service - although in the room - is a room service menu which is essentially useless. ) ||||the lady at reception said i could get my drinks and food at the casino and take it to the room...so we walked from our hotel room over to the casinos grill / bar area to order...the lady working behind the bar simply ignored me/us and carried on doing something else,,,eventually when i did get her attention i asked her to put 4 drinks in a bucket of ice and menu so that we could take that back to the hotel.... the answer was - "no..you cant".. ..lovely... in any event we then decided to just sit in the grill area and have a few....a little while later the same waiter came around and demanded that we pay the bill because "i am going off shift..going home now".... i found this this so odd that i simply thanked her and said good by travel safe - she laughed at us and demanded payment...... i thought she was joking, she wasnt. i paid and a new waiter/s helped us. but perhaps (and this is merely a suggestion) some employees (not all) should be trained in basic manners, service and a crash course on "how not to be rude, arrogant and useless at the same time"...merely a suggestion. but this is not the end.... we ordered toasted sandwiches ... with chips.... i dont think i have ever waited that long for a toasted sandwich...ever.. how long does it take to make a toasted sandwich at queens hotel? 10 seconds..because that how long it takes reception to tell you to go to the casino. ..how long does it take for the casino to make a toasted sandwich? a: about an hour, b: glacial speed, c: dont order anything from here, d: nobody cares. the correct answer is: c ....it could also be d - if you work at queens hotel and casino. ||||in other words....dont bother spending your money staying at the hotel - although the room itself is not bad...instead..pitch a tent across the road from the casino or in the parking lot in front of the casino because you going to have get everything and do everything yourself... at the casino...the casino appears to be some type of magical unicorn or environ where all the excuses are and everything needed by hotel staff and patrons exists....but when you enter...you realise there are no unicorns here...its just a casino with a pub and grub...with some of the worst attitude and service i have seen in some time. ||||what value for money would you get from queens hotel and casino? a: good, b: none, c: what is value or d: nobody cares, e) none of these options. the correct answer is...... e - none of these options - because you would literally die waiting if you sat there expecting and waiting for it to be done....unless you physically ask and keep asking nothing happens.... some of the employees (not all) here offer such terrible service (coupled with a bad attitude) that one wonders why they even bother doing anything at all... its quite frankly pathetic and to be honest i expected a lot better from this establishment....it was my first time staying and it may probably be the last. i feel like demanding my money back.... hahaha....i feel as if ive been fleeced of my money....and at the same time... my colleague felt embarrassed - but we had nowhere else to go and i had already paid...

The hotel itself is not that bad, closer to a lot of amenities and the main road to our destination. There was no bottled water in the rooms, not sure whether we needed to pay extra; most similar hotels supply bottled water, mineral or otherwise. The bar is at the casino. After ordering our drinks and paying, we were informed that the bar is closed. We pleaded with no success, besides, staff at that bar behave as if they are on a go-slow. You literally beg for service! WIFI is available, but not the easiest to connect. At least there is some consolation, breakfast was better and the room was neat and comfortable. For the price I paid, half a loaf is surely better than no...

This casino is built properly and has places where you can let your kids enjoy themselves while you do your adult stuff. It even has a nursery. Outside it has a small golf course and chess board to play. Swings for the children are near by so it makes it simple and easy for the parents to play while they still look out for their kids. Picnics are also allowed in the small but comfortable, clean park. What makes this casino nice to be in,is the number of events it hosts each and every year. It also has a Hotel and BnB like buildings to cater for their mass number...
