Muxima Guest House — Hotel in Milnerton

It's a cute place but it really needs help in the service department. Manager was nice and friendly though.

Where to start!

Rooms were not ready when we checked in. There were guests still clearing out the fridge and the staff were also tidying the kitchen up after them. Fridge smells disgusting everytime you open it.

The cutlery and crockery is all mismatched and they gave us 4 plates in the unit but there was 9 of us. No knives, no tin opener, no serving/mixing bowls, some of the pots had no lids.

Our bedding had so many stains hidden on the inside and we only saw it after the covers were pulled back. The pillow cases were also stained brown.

The kettle doesn't switch off. You have to manually stop it from boiling over. None of the thousand microwaves work. They give you 1 towel in your room even though there are 2 people staying. The bathrooms have nowhere for you to hang your shower stuff. No bathroom railings. The housekeeping staff don't knock when they come into the unit. They barge in and then tell you they want to clean. They also don't replenish the toilet paper, we had to go ask for some, 3 days into our stay.

Not sure if it was the owner or what but we were having breakfast as a family and he also just barged into the apartment with 2 ladies and said he needs do see something in the back of the house. Didn't ask, didn't explain. Nothing. And we weren't staying in the main house, we were in the smaller one in the back.

Honestly, if they just sort out these little touches it would be such a great place. It's a pity but we would...

I booked with the place for 4 nights stay, I really loved the peaceful atmosphere and the beauty around it. However I didnt like that my linens and sheets had stains, my room wasn't being cleaned for 3 nights of my stay, towels were changed only once and I had to buy my own toilet paper because they didn't put extra one. No one told me about the restaurant at the back I found out about it too late...besides all that minor errors, my stay was very nice and I'll recommend it to my Friends and family....I'll definitely...

What a beautiful cozy clean guest house. A home away from home. All amenities are there. If you feel you would like to cook your own meal you can do so. The kitchen is well stocked and have all cookware. My hubby and I will definitely go back as he was very happy with the guest house too. You can sit outside at the pool and relax.
