I recently dined at 91 Indian Restaurant Center Point - Milnerton, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time! From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and inviting aroma of authentic Indian spices set the tone for a memorable meal. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, catering to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, with plenty of classic options and unique chef specials. I tried the butter chicken, and it was absolutely divine—rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. The butter naan was fresh and fluffy, and Lamb Rogan Josh was bursting with flavor, paired perfectly with basmati rice. The tikka was amazing as well as their very own samosas oh so yummy. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend dishes, and the owner personally welcomed us to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction. It was my mom's birthday, and they had a beautiful birthday setup for her with balloons and flowers and even gave her cake! The presentation of the food was just as delightful as its taste, and the portion sizes were generous. I have so much left overs. The desserts, especially the Kulfi, were the perfect way to end the meal on a sweet note. If you're looking for an authentic Indian culinary experience with impeccable service, 91 Indian Restaurant is the place to go. I can't wait to visit again and explore more of their menu. Highly...

Overall experience was underwhelming.

I was probably the first to come in for lunch (and the only one around until I left) as the place was empty (as I went in close to the just around 1300 hrs) barring the waitresses. Check-in was quick but service could have been better as not once did the three waitresses come in to check if I needed anything. Ordered Channa Masala and Tandoori roti as these are two things an Indian restaurant cannot mess up with. Tandoori roti was the best part of the overall food experience. Chana Masala was salty bland as I'm not sure how else to describe it as there was singularity in the flavor profile when a curry is supposed to have a multitude of flavors. Unfortunately tried the plain parantha also and to my horror it was as banal as a parantha can be with ZERO oil and a synthetic taste to it. With major disappointment in the savory department I thought of giving the desserts a try and ordered malai kulfi which thankfully was atleast appetizing to my palate. Bill without drinks came out to be 250 with tip which I find pricey for a Milnerton location. I've tried their sea point branch 4 years back and had a similar experience. I believe anyone looking for an authentic Indian experience will be disappointed but anyone having a durbanized palate will be fine.

Stay away from the plain parantha and stick to Naan/Tandoori Roti for breads. Best of luck with...

We recently celebrated a birthday at 91 Haute Indian Cuisine in Milnerton, and the experience was truly amazing.

When we arrived, we were greeted with beautifully decorated balloons on the table, complete with birthday décor on the wall - such a thoughtful and unexpected surprise that instantly set the tone for a special evening.

The restaurant itself is stylish and filled with natural light thanks to the large windows, which made the atmosphere feel bright and welcoming. We ordered cocktails, which took a little bit of time to be served. We brought our own wine to enjoy with the food.

The food was really the highlight of the evening, every dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. I had the Chicken Korma, which was creamy, comforting, and absolutely delicious - I’ll definitely be ordering it again. My partner had the Chicken Xacuti, which brought the heat just the way he likes it - bold, spicy, and full of character. Everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

To top it all off, the restaurant surprised us with a birthday cake to end the evening - such a sweet and much-appreciated gesture that really made the night feel extra special.

We left with full hearts (and full stomachs!) and will...

Finally a Indian restaurant in Milnerton and oh boy its delicious. What a stunning upmarket clean restaurant. Soft sitting chairs. You feel at home. The waitress that initially served us was dreary and not outspoken but we ended with a very good waitress. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri which I was disappointed in as it had ice chunks in it and no garnish of a strawberry/ mint leaf. I ordered a full tandoori chicken and butter chicken. If you wanting rice you need to order it separately. The butter chicken sauce was the best I have tasted. I only wished it could of been HOT as I had asked for. Pricing on the full tandoori chicken was a little excessive for me but the butter chicken pricing made up for it. We even had the owner coming around asking how the food was, which for us shows that he passionate about his business. I would have preferred some papadams which I am accustomed to or perhaps a completely new out of the box like nibble for the table. I will definitely be back :)

Extremely bad: they have mains, you will have to order it and then figure out how to eat it as it comes with nothing that makes it a meal, take the butter chicken for example, you order it and to be able to eat it, you will have order a naan or rice with extra price to pay, very unstructured and completely disconnected with the local tradition, we like restaurants to make an effort to structure the meal rather than creating dirty tricks to make customer pay for something supposed to be a part of the meal in the first place. The other thing is the prices, R27 for a simple naan which is hardly bigger than a slice of bread and it crumbles when you try to eat the curry with. The food is extremely over-priced and average at best, I don't think its worth a visit.
