Fama Lodge — Hotel in Mowbray

I chose Fama Lodge because I wanted secure parking away from the busy part of Cape Town. It's 8km from the centre, but with no traffic only 15 minutes to Table Mountain (35 mins in rush hour). It's basic, and very close to the university, and there were several students there who were long term guests. I booked a "Family Room" but when I arrived it was a single bed. Not a problem as I was travelling alone, but a bit disingenuous. Pleasant and helpful reception staff and well kitted out kitchen and washing...

Upon arrival I didn't feel welcomed, I was then handed over a set of keys, without an explanation as to which key is, for what door or even shown around the place or how things work. I was just shown straight to my room the same night I had an emergency and had to leave I couldn't even reach the people in charge to hand over keys. Been at many guest houses but this one was not...

The Place is Nice and Neat. We spent our Three nights (Me, My Wife and My Son), I traveled all the way from Johannesburg straight to this place guided by two brothers Eliam & Edgar.We're not yet done with Fama Lodge - we're coming again. The Hospitality is too Much and so SuperFantamarvelous....
