Ingwenya Lodge is a small piece of paradise, hidden in a quiet corner of St Lucia. We stayed in a first floor unit with one of the best seaviews in town. From the deck we look straight over the beautifully manicured garden with its majestic Royal Palm, to the lush forest with its abundance of bird, butterfly and bat life. But the best view is of the estuary mouth where we watched fantastic moon rises over the sea and you can see hippos and crocs cruising in the now opened mouth. Our host Madelein and her right hand lady Lindy were most helpful and welcoming. We will definitely return.

Our family enjoyed our "home away from home" at Ingwenya Lodge as we visited St. Lucia for the first time. The owner, Madelyn, took time to orientate us with the best of what the picturesque town has to offer, and made suggestions on where to eat. The self-catering rooms were spacious, had everything we needed, offered a nice view, and were serviced daily. The venue itself is within walking distance of the centre of town. Thanks, Madelyn, for a wonderful stay!

Great scenery and views of one of the cleanest and crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean in the North Coast. Also had some close-up sightings of the red duiker antelope. What a peaceful oceanic as well as the coastal bush atmosphere. I had truly great and quiet stay at Cape Vidal! It's a pity I didn't bring my swimming costume and the fishing rods!!

A Hidden Gem in St Lucia – Exceptional Stay at Ingwenya Lodge

We had the most wonderful stay at Ingwenya Lodge! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Madeleine, who is truly one of the most exceptional hosts we've ever encountered. Her knowledge of the area is absolutely priceless – from must-see sights to local secrets, she guided us with genuine enthusiasm and care, helping us make the most of every moment in St Lucia.

The chalet was spotless, beautifully maintained, and well appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Surrounded by nature and just minutes away from all the highlights of the area, it felt like the perfect base for both adventure and downtime.

Madeleine’s hospitality and local insight truly made our experience unforgettable. Thank you for making our trip so special – we can’t wait to return!

Highly recommended for anyone...

we really liked the hotel ... there are no complaints ... we were welcomed with a dog .. this is rare ... and we were pleased with the hotel .... only positive feedback ... as for the city itself .. a complete disappointment ... for all you need to pay money .... entrance to the beach by car, you need to pay money .. it's crazy ... many of the entrances to the beach are isolated so that they only pay money .... all services in the city are very expensive ... all excursions. .... as a result, I can say only one hotel of impressions delivered more than the city itself .... I do not advise you to go to rest in St. Lucia .... nothing interesting to pay that...

Having stayed in St Lucia each year, for the past 23 years our expectations of this beautiful place were high.

Ingwengya Lodge and our host Madeleine not only meet our expectations, but exceeded them. Greeted upon arrival with friendly enthusiasm for the quaint town and its many experiences, we were shown to our accommodation. Breathtaking Forest/ sea-views and well-fitted accommodation is what we were treated to during our two night stay.

I would recommend this accommodation to anyone seeking a central spot, with a natural touch (bordering the natural forest). Birders paradise. Thank you yet again Madeleine, for your...
