Our stay at Ndiza Lodge and Little Eden during the first weekend of November 2024 was nothing short of enchanting. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that set the tone for a memorable experience. The lodge's tranquil ambiance, nestled amidst lush greenery and overlooking breathtaking views, provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation. Our accommodation was cozy, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully appointed, ensuring every comfort was met. Enjoyed both times I stayed at Ndiza in April and May 2024. I stayed in the 2-bedroom cottages which I found to be comfortable, tastefully decorated and well equipped with necessities including a fridge, microwave oven and fully-kitted kitchen. There is clever use of space through an open plan arrangement between the kitchen and lounge/dining area, which makes the unit more spacious. The main bedroom is also beautifully decorated and has a comfortable double bed. The second bedroom is fitted with two single beds, which means a couple and two children can share the unit without feeling crowded. Breakfast was good, with a breathtaking view of the estuary from the dining area. You can also walk into the wetlands directly from Ndiza and enjoy the amazing natural flora. Das Gebäude im tropischen Garten ist wunderschön, ebenso die Lage im Ort. Von der Ffrühstücksterrasse hat man einen wunderfollen Blick aufs Meer. Die Gegend ist, wie St. Lucia insgesamt, sehr sicher. ||||Unser Aufenthalt war leider eine Katastrophe! Wir hatten 2 Jahre zuvor in einer 3-Sterne-Unterkunft in St. Lucia übernachtet und wollten ein wenig "mehr Komfort und Luxus". Dafür hätten wir Ndiza nicht wählen dürfen! Die vielen sehr guten Bewertungen können wir nicht nachvollziehen, denn auf unsere Wünsche (Klimaanlage defekt, 30 Grad im Zimmer -- bitte stellt uns einen Ventilator zur Verfügung) wurde nur murrend eingegangen, insgesamt haben wir uns nicht "familiär aufgehoben" gefühlt. Da sind wir aus St. Lucia und Südafrika insgesamt deutlich mehr Gastfreundschaft gewohnt. Die Zimmer sind abgewohnt und muffig, an vielen Stellen findet sich Schimmel. Im zuerst erhaltenen Zimmer (unseres war nicht verfügbar, wir bekamen ohne Entschädigung ein Downgrade!) war die Matratze des Zustellbetts vollkommen durchgelegen, der Teppichboden fleckig. Nach 2 Nächten konnten wir umziehen, im neuen Zimmer war das Waschbecken im Bad aufgrund der Höhe für Personen unter 1,70m aufgrund der Höhe vollkommen unbrauchbar, Das Frühstück war meistens kalt und lieblos im Motel-Style angerichtet. Bis zum ersten Morgen (Blitzschlag) gab es WLan, das leider schlecht bis gar nicht funktionierte. Bspw. kam keine Verbindung zum Senden von Nachrichten bei Whatsapp zustande. Achtung: Auch wenn man eine Südafrikanische Sim-Karte hat, hat man meistens im Hauptgebäude der Lodge kein Netz (da vom Ortskern & Sendemast abgewandte Seite), hierfür kann aber die Leitung nichts. Insgesamt mussten wir feststellen, dass das Guesthouse nicht gut geführt wird. Die Besitzerin schrieb uns zwar Nachrichten vor der Ankunft und Abreise bei Booking, war aber bei mehrfachen Versuchen nicht wie genannt an einer der Cabanas anzutreffen. Auch sonst sahen wir niemanden, der sich um das Wohl der Lodge und der Gäste kümmerte. Wir kommen nicht wieder - wie würden beim nächsten Mal wieder unsere erste Unterkunft wählen, in der wir vor 2J. einen klaren 5 Sterne Service...
