Lake St Lucia Villas — Hotel in Mtubatuba Local Municipality

This was our second choice but it should have been our first. ||||When originally booking accommodations for St. Lucia we booked a different location. We stayed there one night and realized it had been a mistake. My husband drove around St. Lucia on a Friday morning trying to find a place for 4 adults and 3 children. He went to a B&B that we had also considered for accommodations, but unfortunately they were booked. The gentlemen there recommended this place. ||||The lady at the reception was extremely helpful. She allowed my husband to look over the accommodations and then also me at a later time. She helped us book activities and was super accommodating for us. There was one point that she even tracked us down after her shift at a nearby restaurant to confirm our bookings.||||The accommodations were extremely clean! Although the bedding and furniture are somewhat dated, the accommodations are definitely worth the money spent and are family friendly. Although the pool is not shaded, it was very clean and kids had a great time in it. Overall, we had a great time and appreciated how close the hotel was to restaurants but didn't feel like we were in the middle of them. We will recommend...

The best thing about this place is that it is in St. Lucia, a privilege that every accommodation in St. Lucia shares. The location is not one that takes advantage of the beauty and tranquility of St. Lucia. I struggled to sleep every night because of a range of different man made sounds including a very loud generator. In the morning I was awoken earlier than I wanted to be by a number of other different sounds. Worse still is the feeling you have to get out by mid morning because the maid will not come in and chat, they will awkwardly wait around making you feel guilty for lying in. ||If you are staying in St. Lucia choose somewhere else that actually takes advantage of the stunning views and is away from the centre of the town so you can get some peace and quiet - the centre is only a few minutes from any of the other...

Conveniently located and priced well if you just need a place to sleep, but other than that you feel completely detached from St Lucia as the units are tucked into a big ugly brick building with a poorly designed courtyard. I actually felt claustrophobic throughout our stay and longed to see some trees or even just a garden. Marion the manager was friendly and did her best to accommodate us but we wont be staying here again.

The units are relatively clean but lack a number of important kitchen items, no cloths or cleaning brush for dishes, no dish liquid, limited toilet paper and towels are not changed daily.
